Tickets - Mansfield Town (FA Cup First Round replay)

Realistically are there likely to be tickets still available at the gate, or is it likely to sell out? In otherwords do I get someone to get me a ticket, and try to meet up to get it from them, or take my chance on the night?

Thanks Gary. If you hear likely to be gone, if you could grab me one, and will settle up on night. If not will just get on gate.

Mark44

Please read club site info on parking tickets:-

However, supporters purchasing two adult tickets together in advance can claim a free on-site parking pass.

Ok, I'll bite on this. I've read the information. And then read it again. And just to be sure I read it a third time. And it is as clear as mud.

On the one hand it says parking is limited to players and officials only. And then to confuse matters, as you have so 'helpfully' pointed out, "supporters purchasing two adult tickets together in advance can CLAIM a free on-site parking pass"

So, rather than smugly instruct Mark44 or others to read the info, why don't you do something helpful, like clarifying the following

How can supporters CLAIM a free on-site parking pass? Clearly it can't be CLAIMED when buying two adult tickets together in advance

What does a free on-site parking pass actually get you, considering the information on the website clearly says parking on site is limited to players and officials.

How many free on-site parking passes are available?

Does a free on-site parking pass guarantee parking?

The fact that the words 'free' and 'parking pass' have been put together suggests that for those who do not claim such a pass, will have to pay to park. Can you confirm if parking in the Services is free or not? If it is not free, how much will is cost to park?

Does the shuttle bus between Extra and HP come at a cost to supporters?

Given that tickets are available in advance in the Slough area, are Mansfield supporters expected to purchase tickets in advance too?

Will there be segregation between the two sets of supporters?

Perhaps as Matchday Secretary you can 'read' these questions, and provide clear information, rather than just instruct people to refer to the website, which isn't exactly forthcoming with answers.

If you buy two tickets, you can ask for and will be supplied with a free on site parking pass.

This will enable you to park either in the car park or in the lane (one side only)

The number of passes should match the number of spaces available.

Without a pass, you will not be able to park on site.

Parking in the Services across the road is free and the shuttle bus is also free. and will run to and from the ground at very regular intervals, so parking over there is not a problem. In fact, it would be better if everyone who can, parked over there, leaving the on site parking available for officials, disabled and those who need to be on site.

Apologies if the information is misleading. I hope this clears up any muddyness (if thats a word)

Thanks for the reply Kay, much appreciated. (Take note of customer service Epic Rebel!)

Personally I'd have thought that for this match only, lane parking should only be available to those who can justify needing it (i.e. elderly, mobility issues), spaces booked in advance to avoid any confusion on the night, and just ask everybody else to use the services. If there is going to be a bus going back and forth up the lane to do a shuttle service, in the interest of safety of supporters walking into the ground, there should be as much space as possible, both to provide safe passage to pedestrians but also to ensure the shuttle service can operate without delay.

For a one off game I think we all appreciate that there are logistical issues, and are prepared to park over the road. But given this is a break from the norm, I think the information advertised to supporters needs clarity, otherwise there will be a whole heap of confusion on the night which the stewards will have to deal with. If everybody is clear of the arrangements before they set off for HP, there will be less reason for disgruntlement.

Thats really what I would hope will happen.

We do have a number of supporters who will need close access, but for the main part people who are able to access the buses, could and we would appreciate if they do, use the services.

Signs will be put up making it clear where to go as we obviously need to avoid traffic congestion.

For those parking at the services, it is important that you use the buses and don't walk For the safety of supporters, Service users and the general traffic

Buses will be readily available, so PLEASE use them!.

Any word Kay on ticketing for Mansfield supporters? I've seen nothing on their official website or StagsNet about ticketing arrangements. Are they just going to be asked to pay on the gate? I've got a Mansfield supporting colleague and he's unsure whether I should pick him up a ticket over the weekend or not. If there is going to be segregation, he'd rather be in the away end.

I'm sure Kay will be able to advise on Mansfield tickets but I do know there is no segregation.

Mark44 clearly had READ it, which is why when he bought his 2 adult tickets in advance he rightly or wrongly assumed he would get a free on-site parking pass. Inviting him to re-read something ambiguous politely/smugly (delete at your discretion, I'm scratching off politely) is neither helpful, nor pointing Mark44 in the right direction.

Thanks to the web team for updating the information on the website.

Mark 44 CLEARLY didn't read it rightly so that's why I copied the bit about Claiming Parking tickets, So how is that not helpful or in the right direction.

As you've put about the web team explaining it better, helps

You don't know me so as far as I can see there is only one person on here being smug and that's you.

END OF HELPING ANY MORE.

Telling someone to read they have to claim a ticket, without offering any sort of explanation about how to make that claim, means that Mark44, me, the Pope, Obama or whoever will have been none the wiser, no matter how many helpful and polite people like yourself tell them to read it, CLEARLY or otherwise.
