FA Trophy v Enfield Town

Saturday is nearly upon us again.....and it's time for our last cup competition.

Enfield town are going to be no push overs, they have beaten cambridge city and also beat canvey 4 - 3 last weekend.

By the look the draw it has been as kind as it can be, I would love to have a good run in this competiton because there is a great day out come the end if you can reach the final.

It's do-able, look at wealdstone last season, they made it to the semi finals, they were 90 minutes away. Not getting to carried away, there are a lot of hard games before that, but stranger things have happened!

Alex Osborn getting injured whilst training with Dagenham, thats a new one.

Wasnt he on loan to us? I presume we were paying (or a proportion of) his wages for this loan period? will we continue to pay this whilst he is out injured?

I would hope that whatever wage we were paying him would be diminished, although I know nothing about this type of thing. If i remember rightly we only had him on a three month loan so presumably he'll go back to daggers before he's fit again. A real blow for us.

However, let's view it as a positive. I've been very impressed with what i've seen of Nathan on the left, so here's a perfect opportunity to play him left, Junior on the right, and Lechmere in behind Taylor. When I've seen Sammy play in that role I've been very impressed, so hopefully this enforced change will bring out the best in our squad

I saw Enfield Town in the Essex Senior League a few times, I know that was a while ago and a terrible standard but then they were a big side and good on the ball. They also took 200-300 supporters to away games.

I hated them, they used to produce a far better matchday programme than I did
