Big J R
It's a terrible thing to have to say, but I think there'll be a few more before the end of the season. The present financil 'climate' certainly isn't helping !
cup of tea
I always get suspicious when a club gets into financial difficulty when they own their own ground. Hopefully, the people at the top are not trying to sell the land.
The Mayor Of Simpleton
That's the worry - it's prime development land on the east of Hinckley with good access to Leicester and the M69/M1. It's been a poorly run club for two years or so. Gloucester played them at theirs recently and they were fielding kids - we won 3-0 but it didn't feel like a win. missunderstood
If the leagues properly audited the accounts of every club in its jurisdiction every season this kind of unacceptable behavior wouldn't be allowed to flourish the way it is at the moment. Perhaps one way forward would be for the FA to split football back to amateur and professional leagues, so the well run clubs like Romford are not denied possible promotions or lucrative cup runs etc, at the expense of clubs that cheat the system by paying players and stick two fingers up to everyone else they owe money to. Big J R
Any clubs that lease/rent their ground from an outsider, (local authority or whatever) should be really worried these days ! I know exactly what a certain local football ground was valued at a couple of years ago. Nice little earner for someone !
