Dorking 2 Horley Town 3

Turns up at 7.30pm No clubhouse open, no burger bar , no toilets and no footballs!

Very poor game the worse I have seen this season Dorking took the lead before Town hit back with a scrambled Karl Parker goal (See the goal on Horley's U Tube). The teams went in at half time one one. Straight from the kick off Dorking were awarded a penalty and scored to go two one up. Town came back with another goal from Karl Parker (See the 2nd goal on Horley's U Tube) to make it two two.Next Dorking lost the only three balls they had and evrybody had to wait around for five minutes till they could find another ball! Town then scored again (See goal on U Tube ) but it was ruled as not crossing the line!. Then with three minutes left Adam Pullen scored the winner, to make it three two to Horley. So the two results against Dorking have been 4-3 and 3-2 both to Horley.

Such a shame about Dorking's Ground use to be such a nice place when the were a Ryman Club but its now a mess.

Just looked at the video and as those of us in front of the clubhouse thought at the time, the ball was nowhere near over the line! Looks like it bounced down on the line, certainly not over. Just to balance things up, your 89th minute winner came after the ball was crossed by your guy on the wing who was about 2 yards offside when the ball was played to him with the lino being miles behind the play. Didn't think the game was too bad myself (but bear in mind i'm comparing against Dorking v RPV!!), but if Horley are a top 6 side then on that showing the standard of the league ain't that great this year.

If they can not get it correct in the World Cup not much chance in the Combined Counties League Go Lines camera Ha Ha  needed

As I said it was our worst performence of the season to think a week before we were playing good flowing football aganst Guernsey but Ha that football!

I assume its the referee that calls these matches off or is at the whim of the home club?

It has to be the match-official, OR suitably qualified referee, (who may well live locally to the ground), who will then contact the booked referee and give him his views.

Home clubs cannot call off home games on a 'whim' !

That is what I thought and hoped. So when people complain that a match has been called off too early to save money I guess they are wrong.

Is it full squad out for Ash Tommo

Not a full 1st team as had several out including henry.

Bagshot took an early lead before 2 quick goals put us in front before we gave a pen away which bagshot slotted home just before halftime.

2nd played with more control & scored 2 more goals to send us into the next round.

Bagshot looked good at times but their attitude towards officials was not the best as well as their tackles, but good luck to them for the rest of the season

loving the comments from ash utd about how bad our (bagshot) attitude was towards the officials. The ash gk cleans striker out clean through

on goal and gives a yellow !!! Ash boy tells ref to f**k off told to go away and Bagshot boys ask about 4th goal where damo who by the way was

quality as always comes from behind the gk in a offside position and scores ask about the decision without swearing and have 3 booked. I cannot defend

some of the bagshot tackles but Ash were exactly the same and every opportunity moaned to the ref but all this aside they probably deserved the win and Good luck to the Ash boys for the

rest of the season.

I will be at the Bedfont Sports v Raynes Park Vale game.

Looking forward to it i always injoy watching Bedfont Sports play.

I enjoyed my visit to Bedfont Sports FC lastnight it was my first visit to the club in two years and i must say what a nice Bar they have at the club and the ground has improved aswell but i must say that the programe has not improved a very thin production. Im glad Bedfont Sports won though. I did think that Raynes Park Vale were the better team over the 90 mins though. To me Bedfont Sports looked low on confidence in the first half but better in the second half.

If Hartley raised their game like that every match there is no way they'd be in the bottom three.

First half was quite even possesstion wise, as previously mention above, Guernsey were just more clinical. Our keeper should have done better with Hartley's first goal though

We should have been home and dry at 4-1 but credit to Hartley for their fightback. They had us on the ropes for quite a while at 4-3 (against our keeper had a shaky second half until the last few minutes) but I think we rode out the storm and finished strongly, perhaps having a couple of chances late on to score a fifth.

Was at the other end of the pitch so I can't have an opinion on the penalty. During the game overall I think the ref got more things right that same home fans gave him credit for, but I agree our players lost some of their discipline/cool for a period in the 2nd half and were complaining about a lot of decisions

There are cases, especially concerning mid-week games in the depths of winter, when it obvious to ground-staff that the match referee will NEVER start the game. Responsible clubs try to have a local 'tame' referee who they can call in, WITH the officiating referee's consent, to carry out an early inspection and thereby save the away team from what might be a long, cold, dark unnecessary journey.

The officiating referee can insist that he makes the final call, which is his right.

We had occasion not so long ago, to have a referee booked, living in London, and who was travelling by train. He insisted on making the final call, and arrived about an hour before the kick-off time, and then cancelled the match !

All a bit late for the away team

Need I say more ?

That's a very diplomatic way of saying what I was going to JR.

I was also watching this game and agree with Postie about your player’s attitude towards the officials particular to the young linesman in the 2nd half. I was on the side where this linesman was and level with the Bagshot’s 18 yard line. The Bagshot players were constantly giving him abuse because he would not put up his flag when they thought an Ash player was offside and this included their forwards who must have bionic eyesight to see from more than 30 yards away. I must say that within my range he never got an offside decision wrong and he was right up with play with the said goal.

Your 3 players were cautioned for their language (verbal & sign) and the aggressive way they delivered them towards the linesman. For your information you don’t have to swear to get a caution for dissent and your players desperately need someone to explain to them the basic law of offside because on Tuesdays showing they certainly have not a clue about it.

I personally did not hear the Ash player swear at the ref but was lucky to stay on if he did. If you watch/play football now you should know how inconsistent some of the refs are so just because one player gets away with something doesn’t mean if you repeat what he has done you will get away with it. If you don’t like getting cautioned then stay within the laws of the game and you should be Ok. Oh yes, the yellow was right for the GK because he wasn’t the last man.

what about managers and asisstants whose lanquange is foul and is the reason why some people don't go and watch your team anymore,is that ok ?

Dunno about the players it is probably embarassing for them to constantly be hearing the C word every 2 minutes of a match,to be honest it puts me off going and I wouldn't dream of taking members of my family,so AuPastie are you gonna let it continue or just do nothing the balls in your court now, next time I come and watch it would be nice to think that I won't be hearing the C word billowing from the Ash dug out.

This is aupastie using postie's phone

I now know why you were not at the Sandhurst home game the other week but watching the Badshot Lea v Ash game listening to the fragrant tones of Bonzo. So far this season the Sandhurst bench has been the worst in my opiniom. Any wAy it is nice to see that after our chat at the game the wording in your posts have improved for the better. I shall put swearboxes in the dugouts at Ash as soon as possible.

Officials should be managing the language as this is in violation of the LAWS

Yep all down to the officials no responsibility of anyone elses.

My youngest comes to games with me now and he actually asked not to go to a ground of one team (not the current managerial setup) because all they knew was the F word. That was my 10 year old son saying that. When I posted that I got slated !
