Mansfield v slough latest score

Recommended Posts

Mansfield supposedly have a decent away following so it could be a decent crowd. Capacity at Holloways Park is only about 2000. Given that our big FA Cup games have a habit of bringing people out of the woodwork who don't understand the spirit of non-league football I'd be in favour of segregation and giving Mansfield the far end of the ground. That'll put us under the cover for the whole 90 minutes.

What a great day out and what an immense effort from our players and our supporters who converged from all corners of the British Isles to make noise throughout - we did the town proud.

Mansfield fans very friendly and reckon they could bring 250 to our place but they are in for one serious culture shock.

We can do this. Sliski would be chuffed!

Segregate the far end if needed and put portable toilets and a burger bar down there to tick all the boxes (although thinking back, we didn't for Walsall?). If there's that many coming (250), then I think we'd need to segregate.

Someone put in a call to Wilko to put up the temporary barriers.

As Stuart said to me after the game on Saturday, "they might be able to do it at the One Call Stadium, but can they do it on a cold, dark, wet night at Holloways Park?"

Great day for the football club yesterday and great to have all the support in one place behind the goal. Loved that.

Defending yesterday was awesome. I don't want to single anyone out really as it was a real team effort, but for me NBH and Browney were outstanding yesterday. Remember a posting a while I made a while back saying we had the best three centre back's in the league, and getting a bit hammered for posting that after the Uxbridge defeat. I'd like to think after defensive performances against higher placed opposition - the likes of Margate, Gosport (Home), Gosport (Away), Mansfield and St Neots last season i've made my point!

Just one small thing - going to have to keep the ball a lot better in the replay. Gave it away a bit too easily at times yesterday, but that's understandable considering our tiredness considering the work we did off the ball.

Great day, but massive match Tuesday. We MUST stay in touch of the leading pack.

Just one final thing, as we left Mansfield Julie Sliski got back on the coach and said how "Chris (Sliski) would have loved a day like today". Brought an even bigger smile on everyone's faces as we remembered our dear friend.

Not sure how many Mansfield supporters will make a 5/6 hour round trip on a Tuesday night.

Perhaps Mansfield could give us a better idea of how many might make the journey?

The initial suggestion I believe is about as many as we took there.

3 of us took advantage of the £25 hospitality offer. 2 course meal, free programme and team sheet, plush seats. interviews with ex-players etc. And it included entry! We were thoroughly welcomed by the Mansfield staff and had a great day.

Rather than sit in the plush sests, we decided to sit in the stand with the Rebel Army, and boy am I glad. I don't normally sing at matches, but couldn't help joining in yesterday. The atmosphere was fantastic.

About the quiet Mansfield fans in the first half, someone did mention that they were staging a silent protest.

What a perfect day the christening went well left as soon as it finished and arrived at 2.50pm in time for kick off, players were brilliant and the support was amazing.

So proud of all you guys that turned up in shorts, Chris would of loved Saturday and it was a wonderful way to remember him by (even if they wernt lycra IAN !!).

Mansfield fans were lovely and like Gosport very sporting. Stewards were ok in the end, one lady was very funny cant put on here what my brother in law told her about me but she was a great sport.

Again well done to the team absolutely brilliant.
