Excellent defending all game. with a bit of luck might have nicked it too. crowd was poor in attendance, theirs only made noise in second half. ours were immense again. did Sliski proud!!

First game for ages, since moving away from Slough, and realised today what I have been missing! Whilst Mansfield were clearly technically superior (as you'd expect), thought they lacked imagination in trying to break-down a really well-organised Slough team and they certainly couldn't compete with the passion we showed.

 

Just seen the stats on the BBC site and don't recall 22 shots from Mansfield, but the game did seem to be happening a long way away during the second half!

 

Will certainly be making the trip down for the replay.

Just home after a 12 hour day but worth every second! Every Rebels player worked their backsides off despite constant pressure from Mansfield. How they contrived to miss a couple of chances in the first half I'm not sure. Although we had to defend for large periods Warro didn't have to make too many saves such were the efforts of those in front of him. Alex 'Giraffe' Brown in particular was IMMENSE in a team full of heroes.

 

Great support from 250+ Rebels fans. Good to see a few faces we haven't seen for a while and also good to finally meet Stanley (Adam) at his first Rebels game.

I managed to catch my trains so won't be stranded in England for the night! Great day and glad I went. Still got two hours til I get to Edinburgh.

 

Great to meet people from here today especially Ian and family. I will definitely go to more games in the future. Wish I could make the replay but can't afford it after today. I'll be at the second round (im feeling optimistic) if we're away to Carlisle or somewhere close enough to me.

 

Nice to finally go to a game and good luck in the cup and the league this season.

Another great TEAM performance.

Mansfield showed their class and the Rebels had to put up a rearguard action for most of the match, but our defence remained rock solid.

The Rebels support was terrific throughout the game and it was nice to see some unfamiliar faces amongst the travelling support.

In terms of vocal support the Stags were non existent except for the guy who went home at half time to get his drum.

Impressed with all the facilities at the One Call Stadium - it will be a bit of culture shock for any Stags fans who come to Holloway Park for the replay.

It would be so nice if Slough could get up a couple of leagues so we could enjoy more away grounds like this.

Nice to talk to some of the Stags fans in the bar.

Finally an excellent colour glossy programme - congrats to the programme editor (sorry Glen).

As for the MOM it has to be a defender and I think Alex Brown shades it for me.

Fantastic day out, a brilliant display from the whole team, and an amazing showing from the Rebels fans!

I thought our whole defence were excellent today, particular mentions to Fraser and Brown, but the whole team deserves praise for that performance. It wasn't easy but every player gave their all to get that draw.

The away support was bigger than anything I had expected and the noise made was awesome. A shame we couldn't stand up (the noise was definitely louder when we could) but that couldn't be helped.

Looking forward to the draw tomorrow and the replay, who knows what could happen at our place. Of course we cannot forget about our two home league games that come up first, must get the points in those first and not get distracted.

Beaconsfield have kindly offered to try and move their B&B game to protect the pitch for our replay. No guarantee the authorities will agree but good of them to make the offer.

What a fabulous day to be a proud supporter of Slough Town immense performances from all the players so close to scoring on a couple of occasions

So good to see so many of the older faces who have moved away from the area but still have the club engrained in them turn out to give there backing atmosphere behind the goal was fantastic.

Even the miserable Stewards could'nt spoil our brilliant sunny day out.

not quite the perfect day but it was pretty close

 

nice friendly atmosphere apart from the stewards though they were only doing their job at the end of the day and they were decent enough in the end

 

the whole team and in particular the defence were heroic throughout. over and over they came at us but there was no way we was going to let them score today it seemed. we rode our luck but had a few chances that could have seen us come away with victory instead

 

the Slough support in terms of number and vocal support was as good as I have ever experienced in the time i have been going to games. if we can replicate this in the replay Holloways Park will be rocking (if thats even possible)

 

fancy us to have a really good chance of making the 2nd round but we will have to put in an immense effort again and as said we must make sure we get 2 good results in the league first
