Basil-Don
The estate of television presenter Jimmy Savile has been frozen in response to the sex abuse claims made against him, NatWest bank says. The bank, which is acting as the late DJ's executor, said: "Given the claims raised, distribution of the estate has been put on hold." Savile's estate is thought to be worth about £4m. Lawyers representing alleged victims welcomed the decision. They are planning to sue for damages. i daresay a few of the 'victims' will be rubbing their hands together at this development, unless i'm very much mistaken i predicted exactly this scenario weeks ago. If the allegations are PROVED to be correct, why shouldn't the victims be compensated from the assets of Savilles estate.
Basil-Don
hard to prove allegations against a dead man, impossible to prove that some of the victims might be lying therefore they are free to sell their stories to the gutter press without the thread of libel, therefore the victims and media can have a field day. The few interviews I have seen with Savilles victims have been heart-wrenching stuff, and it was obviously very difficult for them to relive the trauma that Saville put them through, and I doubt if any of them was "having a field day". I still see no reason why they shouldn't be compensated, as long as they can prove they was abused
