The Mayor Of Simpleton
http://news.uk.msn.com//blog/trending-blogpost.aspx?post=531168e6-f37b-4860-84c8-9bd5f640e927&_nwpt=1 Stupid decision, imho. Danny has more talent in his pinkies than most of the 'yoof' presenters at the BBC. He may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I've always found him to be funny, jovial and friendly. Another bad decision by the BBC Executives...
Big J R
I quite agree Adam. I always enjoy his rare appearences on T.V. as well. He was brilliant on QI a few months ago.
missunderstood
Apart from having a great face for radio I cant think of one single reason why the BBC should want to employ him. Bring back Jimmy Young I say.

missunderstood
Jimmy Young - now you're talking. Jimmy and Terry Wogan was one of the all time great radio comedy double acts.
dflman
There was a great radio double act and that was Kenny and Cash - a merry quip on handover between programmes doesn't really qualify for greatness. Danny Baker did a damn good show on BBC London. They've shut him and Gaby Roslyn out so they can have more money to spend on designer chairs for their big move oopp north and tv adverts for their national radio stations. It is a disgrace and follows on their getting rid of Roger Twiggy Day from Radio Kent ,and no doubt others, in December at 7pm to run a national show across local radio. They've already shut down a lot of AM transmitters used to carry local sport which was important in places like the North East where Newcastle and Sunderland supporters could be catered for separately Once they have lost most of the listeners, which is nigh on inevitable they will announce it's all not viable and a waste of licence payers money and start to close down all the local BBC firstly moving them into big regions then nothing. It's already happened on TV news - Kent items included with places like Salisbury. All that'll pay for Salford. What they should actually be doing is getting rid of some of the layer of middle managers.
