cup of tea
I thought it was a brave performance from Hornchurch tonight, the squad has clearly been decimated with injuries (how many fit players started/were on the bench?). Even so, we still made the game competitive even if we didn't trouble their goalkeeper. Hopefully Alex and Tam will be back for Truro and hope for some luck with other injuries. Miss.A.F.C.Hornchurch
We didnt deserve to be 1 down in the first half. To be honest, and i agree with the above we did give Chelmsford a game despite the injures, illness and suspensions. But its not good enough, we do still need to take more chances and be a bit more creative in midfield to then be more adventerous in the goal area. Fat Tom Daley
Very lucky second half to keep it a 2-0 but thought our makeshift defence did well. Just set pieces let us down. Thought glover and Frankie did well at centre backs even though they are centre midfielders. Thought our midfield was weak, cutler was really struggling with his injury but tommo was too ill to replace him. Smithy had a poor game (his form has really dropped lately, hopefully it improves soon). Really gutted we picked up more injuries. Will we be able to field 11 players v Truro lol
SEVEN TEARS BOY
So it'll be us rather than Truro who struggle to field 11 players on Saturday...bit ironic isn't that?! (Yes I know they'll be at home)
Eastside Urchin
Good crowd last night, although about half were from the other side of essex, disappointing not to see more home fans, noticed quite a few regulars were missing, perhaps they have gone on holiday,if so,why did they not book me to take them to the airport Thomson, are you in Trinidad or Tobago,as I noticed you was not there last night? shrimper
both lewis and martin are being dealt with by much better defences this season than they came up against in the ryman league neither getting much service from the midfield , the long balls from the back are just not working in this league as the game went on last night lewis became deeper looking for the ball in midfield .with the injuries and cost of running a full squad its just the way it is i guess , going to hard work staying in this league ,lots of fight with a run of some good luck will be needed to hold on to a place in this league come may
Eastside Urchin
With regards to smith,he got no service last night due to our 3 main midfielders being either suspended or the two playing centre backs, you can't expect him to perform miracles,he needs to be playing in a team with confidence,at the moment because of our injuries we are lacking that one thing but when everyone is back we will be ok.Last night we jut didn't look comfortable at all,too many nervous touches or too many touches, players playing who seemed to know the problems we have at the moment are going to hinder us,chances are though this could be our poor patch for the Season and hopefully push on 2nd half. I never thought for one minute that we would win last night although after 40 minutes I thought we could hold out for a draw or maybe sneak it
Hornchurch "O"
I prefer Lewis up front. Not sure where he was playing last night.
paokman
Was one of the missing last night, up north for half-term, couldn't be helped. But have my bag packed for Truro on Friday. Know how I feel when I've a dose of man-flu, god knows what it must be like to play footy. Rather be tucked up in bed with a night-nurse or two.
