Set the record straight...

Recommended Posts

I have read on here how Mole Valley put in a 7 day approach for Eversley's Baker and in return Eversley put in one for Pagey.

Strange that cos I saw the Eversley emailed 7 dayer for Page at just before midnight last SATURDAY night after valley beat Spelly, then in response whilst acknowledging Eversley's approach they decided to submit their own on SUNDAY for Matt Baker, tit for tat, mind games... Maybe but maybe they actually just want him which is what I've heard.

Anyway that's the record set straight!

Think it was on twitter before the approach for Baker went in. Hence why the Eversley approach ended up being put in first.

I would imagine you will receive quite a few approaches for Page throughout the season. Very good player and seems to be available most weeks.

Briggers was there anything on our twitter account regards to interest in Matt Baker prior to Saturday 20th?

I am also sure Pagey will generate interest wherever he plays, great lad & superb example to my young players.

Any arrangements with his working are between us and so far I'm very happy at the run he's had available, but I am also very clear that work is his priority and any periods of non availability however long or inconvenience are just gonna have to be taken on the chin!

It wasn't on your official account. I believe it was one of the players/supporters. Details aren't that important, very strange how the info was posted on here before the 7 days were up though.

Agree that Page looks to set a good example. Think you've got a good side. Big couple of games coming up for you. Two very different sides, but both have started the season in great form.

Pagey is decent had a top lad too, Hes gonna have loads of teams after him, I've had 2 prem teams ring me up asking for his number. Who wouldn't want a former conference south striker!! Baker a decent player too but yet too prove himself at higher level but in sure he could play higher. Natural goalscorer!!

Morning

In relation to above thread if eversley did indeed submit a 7 day approach with a genuine interest they are well within their rights to do so and I appreciate the interest but at this time I'm happy where I am and have no intention to go anywhere else.

A lot of people were shocked and some still are that I decided to join mole valley and play step 6 football.

The reasoning behind it is simple, when I was at Mole Valley the first time and Chertsey made me a offer to join them, rather than hide it or try and stop me going the Gaffa said to me ' go and I wish u the best but remember u will always have a home here' so I went n I like to think it was a success, ended up playing blue square south ( only god knows how lol ) and then I join my dream job and this comes with sacrifices....

I had a few offers with some clubs offering rediculous money but in the end fort I owed mole valley for allowing me the opportunity to persue my career and playing at this level also allows me the chance to see my family rather than getting in at 10oclock after a away game....

Overall I'm excited for what the future holds and it's good to be back in the ccl catching up with friends and previous clubs

It's football at the end of the day, the game we all love!!!

Good for you Pagey, respect for how humble you are! ;)

What do you do for a living if you don't mind me asking?

Pagey is of course, only playing for Mole Valley for the love of the Club?Just wondered why he was so interested in how many goals he has scored, remember he left Croydon for not being paid.Heard rumours circulating in these parts that he was on £100 per game, and £25 per goal payable on promotion of Mole Valley to the Premier.Surely Phil this cannot be true?

Grandad lol trust u to speculate.... Haha I left Croydon like 3 years ago for a PISSTAKE rather than the £30 I was owed. £100 per game r u insane I wasn't even getting that in blue square football...

The reason I was so interested in my goals is simple, I love scoring them and wanna get as many as I can... No financial gain whatsoever, strikers love scoring goals none more so than me and because for the last year I have been playing left wing for chertsey and farnborough I am relishing being in my favourite position once again....
