Tricky night. Can see why our visitors are top of the league. Very physical and we were 2nd best 1st half. We missed a pen too

2nd half we got to grips and got on top - scored after we missed another penalty but Shene missed a couple of good chances late on too level the match. Had to work hard for the result but finally we win a cup match this season at the 5th attempt

Great result for Epsom tonight,running out 2-0 winners against a quality Egham side,Robby Burns in the first half,and then a brilliant free kick from Alex Mcgregor in the second half secured the points

Chess and Hook 3 v 1 Banstead. My impression was it was mainly the Chess first XI but happy to be corrected ... odd game. We never really got going and struggled on a very heavy pitch. Chess played some neat football at times but never really dominated. We made life difficult for ourselves by conceding 2 sloppy pens. All round, a bad nights work, compounded by a severe bout of manflu that I am suffering from!

Horley Town 1 Guernsey 1

 

A great game in front of a large crowd where both sides played good football. Guernsey had much more of the play but Town had the better chances to score. Ian Chatfield was superb tonight but the whole team worked their socks of, to end Guernsey 13 match staright win run.

Town started with 19 year old Harris on the wing as John Eldred was still injured from Saturday. They then lost 18 year old Jack Poplett just before half time but this still did not upset Town.With seven played Town hit the upright and then should have been awarded a penalty after a foul in the box.Guernsey took the lead in the 17th minute.In the 21st minute a good move saw Town get back level with a great strike from Ben Herdman. Guernsey through everything at Town but the back four and Chatfield were superb.It was one one at half time.Chatfield came out well and headerd clear outside of teh box but got flattened by the Guernsey foward On 72 Guernsey picked up a booking.Town best chance fell to sub Parker who's shot beat De Garis but went just wide of the upright. There was still time for a hand ball in the Guernsey penalty box missed by the referee before Town collected a well earned point.
