Smudge, I think you'll find there were 250-plus at Whyteleafe in the Vase and I would hazard a guess 80 of them were GL family and friends. Your argument is completely without merit. Is it too much to ask to open your tea bar before 3.30pm and have enough programmes printed? I would hace thought these were fairly basic considerations. Our sponsorship (which as we keep telling you is underwritten) is neither here nor there, as the club is aiming to be self-sufficient. It's the first match I've been to this season where I couldn't get a programme. And as for us having a snipe at other clubs and thinking we're a special case, I would have thought by now you would realise we give credit where credit is due and also have our tongue shoved firmly in our cheek.

Tigger I think you may be watching with rose-tinted glasses B) . Badshot Lea rested a few regulars but still controlled the game from start to finish with better passing. Had it not been for the Spelly keeper who made several point blank saves the scoreline would have been much greater. On the other hand cant remember Baggies keeper having a save to make? All 3 goals were mistakes, and yes the Badshot winner was unfortunate for the keeper but he deserves credit for keeping the scoreline down.

i think you could be accused of seeing things with rose tinted glasses, because that is no way near the truth on reflection of this game!!! let me gues your part of badshot lea?? absolutely shocked by your statement. laughable! some people on this forum. dear o dear o me

Green fingers I think you may well be using the same glasses ;)

First 30 minutes badahot bosse the game, they had a high tempo and passing was slick. However after they scored they went backwards in my opinion. They became a Wimbledon-esque long ball team and barring my fat self spellys back 4 were faster so it never worked. This allowed Spelly back in the game. They also started launching the ball out of the ground as far as they could and took forever with every set piece. I think we lost 3 match balls due to this when the player just had to roll it out. It was as though badahot were scared!!

Second half and Spelthorne could have had three goals within first 10 minutes. Badshot lea were all oVer the place. The defence couldn't clear their lines me were scuffing the ball everywhere. I it was a boxing match the referee would have stopped it. Then the unhinkanle, a mistake let badahot lea back in and knocked the wind out of Spelthorne.

Do you also forget Spelthorne hitting the crossbar?

I have no doubt badshot rested players, how many I don't know but this easily wasnt their outright first team.

Your right Pisani did make a few saves, but I blame the strikers for not finding the corners.

In the end an enjoyable game, and I wish badshot good luck for the rest of the season.

A Whyteleafe type support?

Your highest away crowd this season, 164 at Camberley, and that was on a Tuesday night.

Just imagine if they had catered for a large crowd, printed loads of programmes, bought loads of food, it would of been binned by 5pm. Are you a Special case? Love the way you have become a knocker, of other Clubs facilities, they are not lucky enough to have £250,000 sponsorship. But one thing many have is a Ground for promotion, unlike your BBB Club.

Agreed smudge

Doesn't the League have rules as to the facilities that clubs have to have? i.e. refreshements and Programmes?

It does indeed Jade, but no one moaned last year, when the mighty Guernsey did not even have a Clubhouse, for pre and post match drinks. As for Ormering, if you ask one of the Players, they can maybe bring one over on Tuesday. What was the crowd?

My view on yesterday's occasion at Vale Farm - game and the day as a whole. http://ormering.com/Wembley_report.php

The match report doesn't mention the fact that our center back had a clean turn and shot that he back passed to your keeper, your gk struggled to hold a cross all half and the fact you only registered 1 shot on target in the 1st half.

The 2nd half you were in more control but not as dominant as you would think once again poor Finnishing let us down.

There were more programs printed and like smudge said what were we supposed to do cook 200 burgers and 200 hot dogs for the massive 100 fans that turned up? Whilst we have had a big investment from but we don't want wastage! Supposed we catered for for more who loses out?

All in all I think in the conditions it was a good game and quite end to end, we gave you more than a run for your money.I look forward to visiting yourselves in February and testing the famous Guernsey hospitality.

Wasn't at the match, but the Ormering.com report asked why the canteen was not opened until 30 mins after the match started. Surely it would be wise to open before the match starts especially on a cold day and after some had endured a 2.5 hour coach journey?

PS - Ground does look very good BTW.

I was at the Wembley v Guernsey game and was disappointed not to be able to get a programme (there were only about a hundred people through the turnstyles) or to get anything from the canteen before half way through the first half on a very cold "first day of winter". As an aside, for Smudge, I noticed the food and drink was prepared to order - not stockpiled in 100s except perhaps in the freezer where it will keep for months - but there was only one man on duty at first and long queues built up even during game play.

Having said that I enjoyed the match played with enthusiasm on both sides. I thought one of the linos had a poor mental grasp of the offside rule but otherwise the officials did as well as could be expected, too.

The club is run by volunteers and if they are delayed then it delays everything.

I completely agree regarding wastage, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be able to buy hot food and drink and a programme on arrival. You gave us a good game, Pearcey and as I admitted your defence in particular played well. I still feel we were far more dominant than you, particularly 2nd half. Agree regarding Tardy, his handling has been ropey in the last 2 or 3 matches. He's still one of the best keepers you're likely to find at Step 5 though.

Actually Smudge please check your facts before having a dig. The 250 mark has been passed twice this season, against Crowborough and Whyteleafe.

I know they were cup games but it's still a step five level.

From what I saw of the game (arrived late due to London Transport issues and had to leave early to get to work in the evening) Wembley were defending well but Guernsey were in the Wembley half for the majority, I'd consider that a fair amount of dominance

Bedfont sports 2 south park 1

We started brightly an scored through azagba with a neat pass into the top corner after this sp dominated possesion but with no shots on goal in the first half an us using the counter attack but only making wastell pull off a couple of routine saves !

Second half pretty much the same park equalised through there fa player of the round lavery with there first effort on target a great header to busses left !! Park had a couple of shots off target then lavery couldve nicked it only to shoot straight at buss we then broke on the counter an wastell pulled off a gd save from jackson, we won the game after another counter attack with ventour finishing a fine move into wastells far left corner that was pretty much the last kick off the game

Ref was gd couldve booked one from each side but chose a talking to on both which was enough imo

Good performance as a unit but we need to believe were better than our league position suggests , onwards an upwards!!

I also congratulated them on there fa cup run !!!!

Good report Newby fair summary of the match ... was that you who came over and shook my hand at the beginning of the 2nd half?

Also I'd have to say the facilities at Bedfont are fantastic as good as any in the Premier Division - club house looks great!!!

All clubs are at this level but most still have hot food ready before the game. Some clubs have made extra effort for Guernsey (like Sheers did last year) and its paid off for them

Comical quotes from Ormering,my understanding is that the Black Swan does lovely food,as well as real ale.Should he of not eaten there before reaching the ground,or maybe with a bit of research, visited the nice cafe, just round the corner.Black dog missed the early part of the game due to transport problems.Guernsey FC turned up at 2.15pm due to traffic delays. But alas the poor chap who regularly runs the Food Bar,arrives late and they whinge.Maybe he mislaid his FLYING CARPET?
