This forum might not be the place for such matters but I can tell you that having been in freight most of my long working life the government have no idea just how many of them are here - when they put in the fines for drivers and companies of £2,000 per stowaway incoming trucks were taken into the services and the doors left ajar long enough for anybody in there to get out and stroll up the M20 hard shoulder (a common enough sight) and any that continued until the unload at the depot at Thurrock were simply told to go away. We had about 30 artics per day seven days a week and most appeared to have had people in them. Some will have claimed asylum and others have just melted into the background - they know they can use friends ID to get what they want from driving licences to health care.
