Going down all the time - just the 10! Looked it up and it was 8-0 at Kingsmeadow. You did a piece in the programme about Cove, managed at the time by Salv Di Prima. Koo Dumbaya & Dan Turkington also in the Cove side that night. Cookie must be Lee Cooke? All seems like a lifetime ago now!

Correct, thought it was 9-0, but prob forgot as missed pen in first 5 lol still maintain it was a good save though by massive keeper

Great reaction from the crowd ha ha

i would agree with wattsy, afc wimbledon back in the day playing for cobham, being 1-0 up and the crowd just totally silent, until the last 15 mins when we ran out of steam and they scored 4 goals :(.

Correct! I even got sent the DVD as a birthday gift from 'all at AFCW' haha B) Does seem like a life time ago, 8 1/2 years ago. I remember the torretial rain for about 2hrs before the game which nearly called it off, great night all the same!

Salv was the gaffer, Koo assistant and the Turkington brothers were also in the squad. Cookie robbed me of the penalty and what a shocker he had there ;)

For me its years ago in the Athenian League went to Grays Athletic early 80's on a Saturday they had just ben taken over by a Millionaire and had bunny girls running around everywhere majic for a teenager like me. Free buffet aftewards and free beer plus the girls, the coach with players Officals and supporters never left till very late in the evening.

Hassocks in Sussex County League always friendley and plenty of banter.

Combined Counties always a good warm welcome at Hanworth Villa and Molesey

Best club experiance? My four years at Camberley Town. As a hopeless 16 year old i turned up training literally not being able to kick a ball in the right direction. They could have just said 'sorry, no chance' but they let me train with them and be apart of the club in every way possible. Aged 16 was training with the first team, midweek under 18s and under 17s, and wasnt good enough for any of them.

I stayed there for four years, I turned up not good enough to play park football but by the time i left i was (just about) capable of playing in their reserves. Because that club gave me a chance, I'm now coaching and managing in the same league that aged 16 i watched so hopelessly. For the first time ever, i actually have step 5 clubs ringing me offering me jobs. In the middle of all this i've captained Godalming Town's ressies, playing regulary in Suburban, played first team in Combined Counties, played in front of big crowds (well a few hundred which is big for me) and last year managed a Suburban side, 7 players of which are playing first team football at step 5 this year (i class that as a job well done). I am now looking to get my UEFA B licence and a career coaching in football.

I owe that club and the many, many good people there so much. I know all of the above is very little compared to what lots of people on this forum have achieved, but if you knew me 10 years ago you would see just why I owe them and the people connected to it so much :)
