The reason behind the Basildon baiting lies with the former Sarfend Manor player, affectionaly known on this forum as Mean It Mick. He and a number of Manor's players went to Basildon in the close season and he seems to enjoy winding up town fans ever since (even though he appears to have retired). Unfortunatey for him (and his other pseudonyms) we love baiting him to. It's a kind of love/hate reationship. We love to hate him!
