South Park's game away at Chessington has just been called off with the problem being waterlogged pitch I believe. Not ideal us being told at 5pm when we were on our way and just surprising given that there has been little or no rain there today.

This is Chessington we're taking about Milesy.....we all know that it only needs to think about raining for their pitch to be unplayable!!!! It's been one of the worst pitches in the CCL for years and is ALWAYS the first to be called off.

Can't believe the league sanctioned a team to groundshare there too on top of there reserve and youth sides!

I was surprised a Ground share was sanctioned there too, but I suppose the members voted in favour as it would have been harsh on Epsom Athletic otherwise.

Too often you see stories about teams like Guildford being denied promotion because of a turnstile, yet nothing is ever done about the green bit in the middle which you could argue is kind of important.

Fair point EEF but ground improvements aren't cheap and money is tough to get hold of.

You will see a major difference at Wibbandune tonight but we were lucky to get any funding.

We are aiming at permanent fencing for next season on the far side of the ground which is not cheap.

As long as the league (and the FA?) allow clubs some time to improve facilities, it will happen.
