Ian
A close game which the away team probably had the better of although chances were at a premium at both ends. Our best chance was right at the death probably when Danny Burnell was unable to get on the end of a ball across the box from Dominic Rhone. Gosport's best chance was probably early second half when Warro made an astonishing save to push the ball away for a corner when it looked easier to score. The main thing is we've shown them we can compete with them after two pretty abject showings against them in the last two seasons. Roll on Tuesday night and a trip down the A3. Mr Rebel
we wanted to see a much better performance than the previous games with Gosport and thats exactly what we got. great effort by all the players. shame we couldn't quite create that 1 glorious chance draw was fair result really in the end but as said the best chances really fell to Gosport. Warro made a save that he had little right to make really so we have to go again but i saw no reason why we cannot go to their place with the confidence that we can get the job done. just niggling feeling in the back of my mind telling me we may have missed our best chance of progressing. going to take a massive effort again to get through
Irishadrian
I think we can go there with as much confidence as if it were a home game Gosport are having a dreadful time at home this season No home league wins at all and discounting Kettering who started with a 10 point penalty they are one place off bottom I think we have more reason to be confident on Tuesday than them
A Rebel and a Saint
I was very pleased with the way we played today. We can be happy with how solid we looked in general, while a draw was probably the fair result. Our defending was very good and some of the passing worked well. It would have been good to create a few more chances but overall it was a good team performance. Looking forward to the replay on Tuesday, hopefully we can put on another good display and then we can look forward to a nice away day in the first round proper along with the cash that comes with it. BFR
It wasn't terribly exciting stuff, but live to fight another day. Will need to play better on Tuesday to progress
HantsFootball
A dull game at Holloways Park, but I don't think either team will moan if they get through on Tuesday night! Ted
A thoughtful and balanced report, something of a rarity from away fans. I had not realised that so many Gosport players had been booked.

Good to see a crowd of over 500 at Holloways Park.Nice to have such a great atmosphere.Shame we never quite created enough goal-scoring opportunities to have caused an upset. Have to say getting Mansfield in the next round is a poxy draw IMO. Hardly a glamour tie. Wishing the Rebel lads the best of luck for the replay. HantsFootball
A thoughtful and balanced report, something of a rarity from away fans. I had not realised that so many Gosport players had been booked. Thank you. I Have not got the team sheet infront of me right now but I believe it was four, maybe three. The report has edited now and i've managed to remove the typos. The brain stops working at a certain point on a Sunday night!
