Smudge Posted October 21, 2012 Share Posted October 21, 2012 Today at Warlingham,South Kilburn striker Melfort Simpson sustained a Head injury,early in the game,he played the whole 90 minutes,then collapsed in the bar area,and was unconcsious for a few minutes.Thanks go out to Whyteleafe FC for opening their boardroom, the Warlingham Physio,The Whyteleafe Coach,Mick Jennings the South Kilburn Manager,Ben Macarthy of Croydon Municipal fame for keeping the Ambulance Service informed,of Melforts current condition.30 MINUTES ELAPSED before a paramedic arrived,a further 15 minutes elapsed before an Ambulance arrived.Yours truly waiting outside in Church Road was amazed at the time it took for the Emergency Service to arrive.Melfort was taken to the Mayday Hospital for treatment,hope all is well with him,hope someone can confirm this.Wish you well MELFORT. Hope he is ok smudger. He must of headed 30 balls after the actual incident which was clearly a pen not given. Why were you amazed ? the NHS is on melt down our great goverment is making cut backs left, right and center to the NHS and there has never been more people needing to use the NHS as there is right now and the goverment is still making more cut backs which will not make the NHS any better. People will have to wait a lot longer than that in the future for a Ambulance if its down to our great goverment. Hope M.Simpson is ok though.
