OldTowner
Well done Towners. Clean sheet and sounds like we could have won it. Do we still need some goal power up front ?
andyetfc
If we didn't score any goals, then I would think yes.

OldTowner
Interesting reading and credit to the team, BUT, it all points to the same conclusion, Town could not score.
thecoldend
OT - look at the positives. Clean sheet & a point away from home at team whom were 6th going into game. Unlucky not to win. Creating chances. Good stuff. All points towards the exciting game next week @ concord. They lost 0-4 at home to Cray yesterday. I, and I expect 100% of the Town faithfull, really want to win at Thames Road (now known as The Impact Arena) to (a) put one over on our old rivals, and ( continue the trophy run. Up The Town! Enfield United
We could'nt have got any closer to scoring by hitting the woodwork twice and the ball on one occassion spinning on the goal line and not crossing it, it was bizarre. Disappointed with the point pleased with the effort (particularly the second half) and performance.
DerekR
Great to see a good turnout from the 'ETFC Exiles' yesterday. Of cpurse, for those of us now living in Sussex it was more-or-less a home game, but Martin came across from Bournemouth as did some frm Poole. I also saw one of our Suffolk contingent too, and apologise to any more I missed.

Father Jack
Interesting stuff on the Bognor Regis fans' forum - their fans acknowledged that we bossed the second half, and made the vaild point that they should have scored during the first, when we 'didn't turn up'. Full of praise for Tyler, but no mention of our best player, Jonathan Hunt, strangely. Just about the only sour note from yesterday - no concession for seniors, which put a few (hairy) noses out of joint; why?
Southport - TOWNER
................. Just about the only sour note from yesterday - no concession for seniors, which put a few (hairy) noses out of joint; why? Why didn't the seniors say they were unemployed and then get in for £3:00! Steph
Sheila suggested that as Bognor is on the South Coast near to Eastbourne Brighton, Bournemouth and Chichester that if they offered concessions for senior citizens they would go bust. hogman
But they did allow students in for £3 which is better than most clubs. Met Police tried charging a tenner! The crowd was yonger than most we come accross which shows they are looking to the future. Mind you they make most of the money back chaging the same price for a cooke as a beer but you could get a decent curry and a pint for a fiver. I thought Jonathan Hunt had a good game as well, Seemed to always find space and time to deliver some great crosses. On onother day we could have won four nil with Bognor having no compliants if we had. Watch out for the run of own goals, deflections and penalties that aren't as we know its funny old game and you create your own luck!
