ETON MANOR HAD JONNY QUINN SENT OFF TODAY AWAY AT BRENTWOOD AFTER 39 MINS.QUINN ALREADY BOOKED WAS OF RECEIVING TREATMENT FOR A FACIAL INJURY WAS TOLD BY THE ASSISTANT REF GO ON GO ON.3 MINUTES LATER THE REF STOPPED PLAY SAYING TO QUINN WHO TOLD YOU TO COME BACK ON QUINN REPLYING THE LINESMAN.REFEREE RUNS OVER TO THE LINESMAN WHO DENIED GIVING QUINN PERMISSION? BOTH BENCHES TOLD THE REF THE LINO TOLD HIM TO GO ON BUT AS USUAL COMMON SENSE PREVAILED THE REF SENT HIM OFF?????

Really good game yesterday, some strong challengers from both sides, but overall a pretty friendly game. The refereeing generally was okay, but the decision to red card quinny put a downer on the game. Will check the FA rule book on that decision! I feel the referee "possibly" could have used his discretion.

Thanks Smiler, top marks for observation. I have amended my post accordingly. I shall start to grow my fingernails so there will be plenty to chew off come Saturday. The boys are up for the game, and full of confidence after going the last 9 games unbeaten, and last 6 without conceeding. In any case I am sure it will be a tight game, hope you bring along your normal good support.

we warmed up yesterday, with our first choice stike force showing what they can .

 

Defence was a bit iffy tho' after we had used all 3 subs and then defender went off.
