missunderstood
Sylvia Kristel has died aged 60. These were probably the 1st erotic movies i ever saw. The only erotica I ever saw was Rock Hudson trying to get his leg over with Doris Day. I do enjoy Nigella though, but not sure if food porn counts. Rhodes
Here's an interesting on-line tribute to the actress who was every young man's dream in the mid to late 70's and who had sadly been battling cancer for some ten years: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2219558/Sylvia-Kristel-star-Emmanuelle-series-erotic-films-dies-60-long-battle-cancer.html

Rhodes
Big JR - The Emmanuelle films were actually brilliant and beautifully shot films weren't they, often shot in exotic locations with Emmanuelle always looking a million dollars, I don't think she ever received the credit she deserved

The Mayor Of Simpleton
Once again, we agree. Incidently, the book makes for very good reading too ! There was a copy at my local library, but for some weird reason the pages were stuck together...
Pink Panther
These so called films are a disgrace. I remember standing hand in hand with the late Mary Whitehouse outside the Cinema trying to stop Perverts going in to watch this complete and utter filth. Rhodes
Pink Panther - We could do with more Mary Whitehouse's nowadays, she was ridiculed back then but had we listened to the likes of her and Enoch Powell maybe the Country wouldn't be in the state it's in now and so called 'Broken Britain' wouldn't exist
Horace
If Britain is so "broken" why do so many people from other countries come/stay here?
Rhodes
Horace - That's the exact reason why Britain is broken, if only we had listened to Enoch Powell and become an Australia where immigration is concerned

missunderstood
Benefits. Maybe, but also to give themselves and their families a better life, or possibly to escape persecution in their own country. Certainly not for our climate. I am slightly surprised that a proud Welshman that resides in, er, England, should be anti immigration. Bit like turkeys voting for Christmas IMO. The Mayor Of Simpleton
Half Welsh, Half English actually. If they want to escape persecution in their own country, then why can't they go to the nearest free country? Why is it always the UK they go to and not France, Germany, Spain, Italy etc. We're a small island and we're already overpopulated. Anyway, when Wales goes tits up they'll all be coming over from the other side of Offa's Dyke. Gloucester actually has a Welsh name - Caerloyw. Romford would be Rhydfeinig. Rhodes
I don't know whether anybody saw it but there was an excellent article in the Economist, of all places, following the sad death of Sylvia Kristel last year, here's a belated opportunity to read it, enjoy: http://www.economist.com/news/obituary/21565580-sylvia-kristel-star-%E2%80%9Cemmanuelle%E2%80%9D-died-october-18th-aged-60-sylvia-kristel
