smellynuts
Question also for referee's, and out of interest whether others agree with my sentiment?. Watching televised Football league games, particularly the Prem, the referee's are far less likely to issue yellow cards, and will nearly always give a player a warning before dishing out a card, unless it is a serious foul or offense. However at the South Midlands level virtually all ref's dish out a card without pre warning. My belief is the professional referee way is the right way and provides a win win for everyone. The ref is importantly seen to give a warning that next time you are in the book, the player knows this is the case and will therefore only have himself to blame if he repeats the offence, the clubs and supporters would support and applaud the official for using common sense, and clubs will not be burdened with large fines for multiple offenses. You never know, referee's may become popular and be allowed to join in post match banter in the clubhouse!
