Spelthorne 1-6 Lammas

Staines beat a very poor spelthorne side today who I can't believe on today's performance are up there in the table. Very scrappy game but Staines were winning everything and deservedly went 1 up threw Matt Baxter. 10 mins later Lee Staples equalised for spelly after some poor defending from Staines. Staines were then forced into a substitution after Jamie Redrup was carried off with maybe a broken ankle, he was replaced by Jimmy Butler. With his first touch Butler made it 2 for Staines. Second half Staines dominated the spelly defence and went 3 up after a great strike from Ben Jacob. Goals were coming fast and Jimmy Butler made it 4 and grabbed his 2nd. Spelly had totally gone to pieces and Matt Baxter grabbed his 2nd after and defensive mistake between defender and GK. Baxter grabbed his hatrick after Staines opened up spellys back four again to smash the ball home for 6. Scrappy game but Staines are looking good under the new management to grab their 3rd win in 4. Said it before but wish Redders a speedy recovery had hope it's not as bad as first thought.

Knaphill 4-2 Worcester Park

Great win today. Showed good character to get the points having gone 2-1 down, after initially taking the lead against a team who had won 5 league games on the bounce going into today.

Good win for us today. Very important to keep pace with the other teams at the top.

First half we were very clinical and went in 6-0 up. Second half we weren't really at the races and conceded some late goals. Full credit to Epsom, who continued to work hard, despite the scoreline.

Players and manager were not satisfied with the performance, which is a good sign of where we want to be in terms of level of performance.

Good luck to Epsom, another side who have been promoted from the Surrey Elite league and are doing well.

Banstead 0-1 Westfield . Poor start from us but much better 2nd which we dominated. Should have wrapped the game up and had a pen saved. Defended well against a side that will take points at home

Overall, I thought a draw would probably have been fair but when you fail to take the chances we did first half you‘re always likely to.struggle. Incidentally, did you think the saved pen was a pen? I chatted to a few of your lads afterwards and couldn‘t find anyone from either side who thought it was!

Used to like Eversley once upon a time Daniel, but times change, one of the gobbiest benches I have ever witnessed in CCL,you have become so BBB.

Think we have good relations with most clubs and officials in the league. If you had watched today's game,my comments above would make some sense.

Maybe catch up over a beer if you're still following SK when they visit us.

Daniel have the greatest respect for you and inmyday nice people, unfortunately Sav and his fellow cohort in the dugout, are not my kind of people. The days of me following SOUTH kILBURN are well and truly over, whether my Grandson plays or not.

Certaintly not the gobbiest bench I've seen Smudge, most Managers and Assistants at this level do tend to be somewhat vocal, but by FAR the worst I have seen is that clown at South Kilburn, that man is a disgrace.

Savage at Eversley is probably one of the brightest young managers in the CCL and is destined to prove himself at a higher level - he is constantly on most short lists when a vacancy comes up, as im sure most clubs can see what he has done at Eversley (masterminding an away victory at mthe ighty Guernsey appears to be no mean feat!!!). Yes I agree he is vocal for most the game but he talks sense and is probably one of the most passionate

managers which is great to see. Last year he had Andy Clements assisting him and I would say that he was the one who would go too far with some more than colourful language and abuse of officials, etc which was unnecessary, but he doesn't appear to be there this season and I think Savage is better off without him personally. I wasn't at their game today but from what I saw on their twitter feed they were 7-0 up at one point (against a team who were 4th at the start of the day) and then conceded 3 late goals - so you can understand why he was therefore unhappy as they only came away with a +4 goal difference when really it should have been a lot more....and goal difference may well come into play at the end of the season.

Football is all about opinions Smudge. Sav works incredibly hard for the club and I have a lot of respect for him for that. Sure he would have had a chat if you'd approached him after the game.

How come you're not following SK anymore? Looking at their results, they've had a great start to the season.

Chubby do not disagree with your comments about the South Kilburn Manager,he is very passionate.Savs assistant this year is gobbier though, espeially when he is winning, quiet as a lamb when behind though.GAMESMANSHIP comes to mind.

Eversley battered them first half, wanted it more.Shouted for everything. The penalty save by the Kilburn Keeper at 1-1 was a turning point in the game, then when Kilburn went 2-1 up,the eversley bench went stum.Kilburn missed 2 one on ones, hit the bar and post.Eversley scored a well worked corner kick routine, bench found their voice again.Mr. Semple denied a late Penalty decision to Kilburn, which could of been given.Overall a draw fair result.
