Spelly 1-3 Lammas ( 55 mins gone)

Baxter, Jacob and butler for Staines, Staples for spelly. Lammas in total control so far. One worrying moment for Staines Redrup carried off with suspected broken ankle. Seems in agony on the bench.

Sevenoaks 2 ash utd 4

Sevenoaks score within secs of the start of the game. We then miss chances but finally got 2 goals before halftime to go in infront. 2nd continued to press & got another 2 before sevenoaks pulled a late goal back.

Now for a nice draw on Monday

Frimley Green 2 v 1 Canterbury City aet.

Game that lacked any quality but full of incident. Even 1st half where the 5 of FG can count himself lucky that neither ref or asst saw his scissor challenge. 2nd half FG were the better side but missed chances that came their way. Then with about 5 mins left Simmo went down in the box, ref who was 10 yards away was uninterested but the assistant, who has a reputation, gave a penalty which was duly dispatched. In the aftermath 2 Canterbury players went for dissent. Despite that Canterburyu equalised and but for an outstanding save from Stu Norman could well have won. Into ET and much of the same really until the FG 2 got sent off for dissent. Clearly a bright thing to do considering 2 had already gone for it. Then literally Canterbury had a 1 on 1 in the last 2 minutes that was missed and FG went up the other end and the 5 showed about the only bit of composure the whole game to win it for FG. Now had the ref and asst done their job in the 1st half he would not have been on.

Anyway MoM for me was Stu Norman whose handling was excellent backed up with a couple of really quality low saves. I think FG just about shaded it though and they will be mighty relieved with all their posturing that they do not have to go to Canterbury on Tuesday.
