Ian
http://trurofans.blogspot.co.uk/ According to the above source the assurances required to keep Truro alive weren't forthcoming and they are no more. Always sad to see one of our former adversaries in trouble. Hopefully they'll come back fitter and stronger. It also puts into context how incredibly blessed we are to have Steve Easterbrook as the guardian of our club.
Matt
It's sad but all too inevitable. I'll always remember the trip down there though. They will come back in some form and do well, I'm sure.
brighton_rebel
Agree Matt, this was always on the cards. Some of these chairman are like a stuck record 'football league in five seasons', splash the cash, then the crash. Truro was the longest i've ever travelled to a game 22 hour round trip with broken tubes and coaches - and we lost.
The Mayor Of Simpleton
Very sad. I just hope they can restart next season in the SWPL Division 1 West (Step 7). What will happen to their ground? Will it have to be sold off, as I doubt that Truro City will make enough money from Step 7 games (or wherever they are placed) for staying at Treyew Road to be worthwile (unless Cornwall Council buy it and charge the club a peppercorn rent for using it). Kettering look next for the chop, and I gather fans of Lincoln City aren't too sure that their side can last the season (there was a brief, but interesting, message from their Board of Directors on their website earlier today). Mr Rebel
not nice to see but in all honesty i would be shocked if nobody could see this happening at some point. if anything im surprised it took this long.
Bernie Gogan
Seen it too much, someone with money propelling a club up through the leagues only to find oblivion at the end. It's great while it lasts, but a real shame for the supporters, as ever, when the club dies.
