Sorry Jack, no i didn't. Planned to, but then I bumped into Nice Guy and so spent the game chewing the fat with him ;)

Great performance and hope you get either a winnable home tie or away to Woking/Luton etc.

Bad luck Baggies, when they got a goal back I thought here comes another comeback but not to be. Highlights do exist of this one though:

and having just watched that, I think the highlights might have been ever so slightly skewed in the home side's favour :) The only thing of note Baggies did going by the highlights was score their goal. Notice every foul against the home side was also included, but he seemed to have missed their red card incident!

Agreed TRS. The photo's taken by Andy that are available (200+) show a true reflection of the game. When we were 2-0 down, we settled down and the nerves seem to go. Their keeper, who seems to Exeter City bound, made 3 notable saves from Josh Pearson, Matt Griffiths and Brad Smith before Matt Griffiths reduced the deficit. In the bar after the keeper even agreed that if one of those had gone in and we went in 2-2 at HT you could nave seen a different second half. Agreed there were a few tasty challenges going in from both sides and with another ref on another day both sides could have ended up with 10 men. We didn't create enough in the second half to peg them back and once they restored their 2 goal advantage they looked comfortable. Then the sending off created a little nervousness in the home side and we did hit the post but that wasn't mentioned in any report either. Credit to manager Nathan Rudge after, he was very complimentary and even addressed our players in the changing room after and said how much we had pushed his sdie. They knew they had been in a game. Leading scorer Cornell (suspended), Blake and Ker injured, big players missing but the lads did us all proud. We push on from here and as I said after the game their is a lot of football left

South Park 3-1 Brentwood Town

Another scalp and another team coming down expecting a easy afternoon and coming away with what they deserved nothing!

Park outplayed Brentwood from minute one and scored in the second minute with a well taken effort from Lavery. I was thinking the goal has come to early and this might kick Brentwood into action, but Park simply didn't let them, giving no time or space on the ball. They rarely threatened the Park defence and Park added a second just before half time when Lavery and C.Smith linked up and the latter finished cooley.

I missed there goal enjoying my well deserved half time pint, but there keeper informed me it was from a long throw that we should of dealt with and it looked like we wern't expecting it (which was probably correct, first time we had seen it in the second half!!). Most Park fans were thinking the same as me we need another the settle any nerves and it didn't take long. After a scramble in the box from a corner Higgins reacted the quickest and poke home from close range. Park continue to press high up the pitch and C.Smith hit the bar when it looked easier to score.

Brilliant day for the whole club, couldn't be prouder.

Just to show that not every one involved in local football can be gracious when discussing other team's successes....this was posted by Lee Farmie, secretary of Whyteleafe on their "discussion forum":

"Dave Argent was in the SP technical area, looked pleased himself after the game and asked me to say how good they are on this forum. OK, they won the game and are doing well in the CCL on same points as Guernsey and Egham; but the words puff and powder spring to mind. The bar's too far away from the ground, the tea bar's poorly organised and the whole place reminded me of Horsham YMCA and not in a good way.

Swiss, Swiss Jnr and myself went to the Beehive after the match to exchange violent cricketing stories and avoid the over jubilant South Park supporters many of whom reminded me of Merstham fans when they were in the CCL and not in a good way."

Whyteleafe play Guernsey at home at 1pm this Saturday. Anyone care to predict a score?

Maybe he is happy watching football with one man and his dog in attendance.

I went there twice last season and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. (one win/one loss)!

Ground is nice, pitch good and food and beer great!

This cannot be the same Lee Farmie surely?Who advised all the Whyteleafe Fans,to get down to Church Road last Saturday,to watch Warlingham play, and partake of a Beer or 2 in the Leafes clubhouse.

For goodness sake Bomaya and Smudge, you're like a couple of kids.

I went along to the South Park and enjoyed myself immensely. I put a little write up on the Leafe forum and Bomaya goes "oh mummy mummy look he's writing all kinds of nasty things". Diddums. And then poor Smudge has to pipe up with his usual flatulent contribution.

I go to football. I enjoy writing about it. And I enjoying writing stuff quite obviously intended to rile sanctimonious bum-faced cretins who actually take it as face value.

Is Mr Hunt the right person to moderate this or any other forum???

:evil2:

Agree Bar is too far from the ground, i find it tough work getting a quick pint in during half time. Also i hate it when supporters are over jubilant when they win the biggest game in the clubs history. I could say that i hated playing a Church Road as i always felt my health was under threat trying to make my way down the steps in boots, added having to do a warm up in moulds on a 3G pitch then have to change boots for the pitch. But that would be a bite and petty.
