Yes, we know the team are capable of these types of performances, and yes it is frustrating when we cannot produce it week in, week out, but what a time for the team to produce! Most clubs at this level would love to be in the 4th qualifying round, and we did it in style!

The whole team deserves credit, they picked themselves up after last week and played a great game to contain Margate's attacking threat. While we may not have created much ourselves, Danny's goal was so well taken, albeit with a bit of help from some dodgy defending! Every player put in 110% to try and shut down Margate and we should go into the next round with no fear.

Well worth the 4hour plus round trip, now let's get some points on the board in the league, COYR!!

What really suprised me, was the way that Margate played.

 

With them unbeaten in the league, i was expecting to watch a team that passed the ball around.

Instead, all the wanted to do in the first half was see who could hit the ball the highest, which was meat and drink to our defense.

 

The pitch was extremely wet under foot, but we still played it on the ground.

 

We went there with a mission, and came back with a higher league scalp.

 

Well done to all the team yesterday, you could see how much the win and the performance meant to them after the match

 

Now to take that into our first league match since 4th September on Tuesday night.

Excellent all round TEAM performance.

Danny took his goal very well - with two defenders and a goalkeeper around him he did very well to stay on his feet.

The new "angelic" Danny is also costing some of us a fortune.

Although it was a 4 hour round trip I was a bit disappointed that more Rebels fans did not make the trip - as per Mark's prophecy it could be that some of us "older" fans have passed on.

That's funny, BFR, I predicted a thoroughly underwhelming draw to Arlesey too. Not sure I really want the one everyone was talking about on Saturday.
