So games against Bognor, Faversham (x2), Enfield, Aveley and Maidstone - won 4, drawn 1, lost 1 - pretty good all round putting aside yesterday's disappointment!

I've seen all those games and it's a tough pick given many good performances. I don't think there's a single player who can be criticised but I'll highlight a few I feel are worthy contenders for September. Craig Holloway has again been a vital member of the team with a stand out performance in the second Faversham game for which he deservedly got MOM. In defence Michael Alaile stepped in to replace Bally after the Bognor game and after a slightly shaky start has settled in really well. Alongside him has been the ever solid skipper John Beales who must be a strong contender this month.

Two midfield players have stood out for me this month, Dan Stubbs has as ever worked tirelessly and fights for every ball. Whilst some of his passes continue to elude his team mates he wins many balls where really he has no right to and certainly one of these led to a goal against Enfield, came close to a goal yesterday after some great link up play with Dolbs. Second amongst the midfielders for me this month is Tom Murphy who has scored 3 goals in the month. He looks so much stronger this year and is far more involved throughout the game being at his best on the left flank and his goal against Enfield was a stunner (nice to see he had a go at repeating it yesterday!).

Up front Carl Rook has played the part of a big striker to perfection, holding up the ball, holding off defenders and creating opportunities for his team mates. He missed the game at Bognor but 3 goals in the other 5 games is a decent return. Spoilt a little by his bookings against Aveley and Maidstone.

Overall, my two top contenders would be Beales and Murphy. Just my opinion of course and again to take nothing away from the whole team who have done us proud throughout the month.

My nomination goes to Craig Holloway he has been consistent throughout and one of the only players that still has a good game when the rest of the team doesn't. He has kept us in it in more then one game this month.

Close contenders for me also Michael Alaile, who has been a excellent replacement and deserves a mentions. Also think that Avery has been solid, but on overall performance has to go to Craig.

John Beales has gone quietly about his business and has been very consistent. Holloway again ultra consistent. As well as those two Alaile has done well, though his second half on Saturday wasn't his best.

Rook has done well but has not been as consistent as the first two I mention & though only on the field for a fraction of the time that others have been Dolby has done well each time he has been called upon (I'm glad to say).

Its got to be between the first two mentioned though i.m.o.
