Windsor 1-2 Horley.

Windsor should have won comfortably but couldn't finish. Not surprising really considering our only real goal threat, Ben Harris, played in goal.

Stil, much much better and although there were a few debutants (again!) they looked far more organised.

Winsor 1 horley 2.

winsor kept the ball well.

our goalie didnt make the game he got stuck on the motorway along with another player due to a closure.

we also had 4 other regular starters missing due to a stag doo!

so overall with only 1 sub and no goalie and 4 missing we were more than happy with the win.

im sure if winsor continue to improve they will be ok.

Lost 3-2 to AFC Croydon today. Fairly even start and both sides missed a couple of half chances.

AFCCA took the lead through their impressive left winger who showed good pace all afternoon. Their 2nd came from a poor kick from our keeper and a calm finish from their striker.

Other notable incidents from the first half included a couple of ridiculous bookings (one for each team). The ref and linesman were a source of amusement for both benches.

2nd half we started slower than the first (if that was possible). Our visitors had a penalty saved, after yet more poor defending. After missing several chances to extend their lead, our substitute left back played a perfectly weighted through ball to their number 9 and he finished in style.

Going into the last 10 mins we were just wishing for the final whistle to go,to end a poor performance. However a break down the right and cross to the back post found Jermaine, who finished well. This seemed to bring us to life and Jermaine scored again with a few minutes remaining. A couple of balls into the box created some concussion, but we didn't quite have enough time to get an equaliser.

Final contribution from our quality ref was to book the opposition left winger (best player on the pitch in my opinion) for a 'dive' in the last minute. Think this totalled around 5/6 bookings in a game that was played in a very fair manner.

Congratulations to AFCCA and good luck in the next round.

Banstead 1 v 1 Knaphill. Fairly even match I thought we edged although our lack of a final ball and a strange desire to pass the ball into the net cost us against a well organised Knaphill with a particularly impressive No. 7 (don‘t know who he is). We opened through a Jason Pinnock pen, Knaphill equalised with a couple of minutes left with a very well.taken header.
