While we're on seafood, any thoughts on Phil Brown replacing Sturrock at Southend Mr Shrimper?

paul sturrock has been on borrowed time for a while , maybe they should have delayed this until after wembley , but the last ''easy'' home games against teams from the bottom 3 bringing in just 1pt and in the last home defeat to plymouth the crowd turned on him after taking the only player who was doing anything (fredy eastwood ) off !!. was the turning point for the board .... seems like sturrock may have been leaving in the summer anyway the rumours are to portsmouth, brown can go either way he might be just what is needed to make the play offs this year or it wont work out and he will be off in no time ,,,, one thing for sure its never boring down at roots hall would make a great soap series for the tv

Nothing to do with football but I see Abu Qatada has won his latest appeal. As he seems an expert at getting himself out of a tight spot perhaps Colin might take him on as technical adviser. Unpaid of course.
