As Smudge seems intent on attacking our humble website, and in particular our patronage of local boozers near the away grounds we visit, let me offer something of a riposte. We are real ale fans. We love proper beer, from a proper hand pull. Very few football clubs have ale on hand pull in their club house, though there are notable and very welcome exceptions. Therefore, as we make a proper day of it, having to travel two or more hours to get to many of the games (we live in England), we like to have a couple of ales, chat with the locals, check out some lovely pubs and then we head to the ground (usually with time to have a beer before kick off). We usually have a beer at half time and we have several afterwards with the players, officials and fans. Not that we have to justify ourselves to you, we demolished Ash United's stock of bottled Hogs Back TEA abd then put a dent in their Bombardier. At Sandhurst, it being a midweek game we weren't so prolific, but most of their ales had gone by the time we caught our train. We certainly put our fair share into the coffers of the clubs we visit, Smudge, but we like to see some of the local area also. I'm sure the boys and girls will do the same at Chessington on Saturday.

Ormering, maybe I should of read your site more carefully, the Whyteleafe Tavern is a great choice, only 10 mins from the ground. As Lee Farmie staunch anti anything Croydon cannot be bothered to comment about his Club, yet recommends The Claret House to you when visiting Croydon FC.He becomes fair game.By the way I am not a staunch Croydon Supporter, please amend.

Ormering, you'll be pleased to hear that we normally have a barrel of one of Windsor & Eton Brewery's fine ales along with a stock of their excellent and varied bottled beers on offer so if you are serious about the amount of it you will drink let me know before you visit and we'll get extra in as we'd hate to disappoint !

Thats the way to do it? Steve e.mail, webmaster@ormering.com,they only name 8 Windsor Pubs on their website.

To be fair, it is a bit of a hike from the station and we need to rest, frequently!

Remember you Guernsey forumrites you are dealing with one and only Smudgey ''TWO FACE'' boy.....so if you're patient he will say ''I LOVE GUERNSEY''.....oops looks like he's said it already alas TWO FACED ;) !

Guernsey Forumrites, not sure if you were aware but TWO FACE lives in Croydon and was once a Croydon FC supporter. He used to be ball boy collecting the balls at the most beautiful ground in the CCL namely ''The Arena'' until something personal happened to him and he has not supported them since.

Night ....hick, hick, hick !

I love Guernsey ! ... a breath of fresh air to the CCL.

Listen there will always be that 1-2 people always looking to criticise, but if you look at all the clubs Guernsey have entertained since joining the CCL I can only think of 1 ''public'' complaint and that being who, oh yes Croydon strange theres a comparison here, all the rest have positive things to say about Guernsey so stay rested Guernsey FC and their forumrites, you know you are doing well both at home and away games, so long may it continue.,,,, Anyway, I plan to make at least 3-4 visits this season, and no doubt see you play on the homeland as well.

So really it is now good night....hick !.

Peter,N.G.the funny thing is you have Knocked Windsor,Badshot Lea,Camberley, about their Budgets to a passion.Yet low and behold very low key about Guernseys WHY?Maybe you could explain Moleseys, drop in form, after an excellent start?

You do understand that Guernsey has a playing budget of zero?

When will you Guernsey Folk get a sense of humour.N.G. has not once queried Guernsey not having a Budget, yet harks on relentless re other Clubs in the CCL having big ones.I am not going to post anything G related again on this forum ever again, well until you get promoted.

p.s NICE TO SEE GFCTV IS NOW SHOWN LIVE IN THE FOLLOWING VENUES

THE DOGHOUSE

KINGS

SHIP AND CROWN,ON THE LARGE SCREEN.

JUST WONDER IF GUERNSEY WILL BE LOOKING FOR 2PM K.O's NOW,so as not to clash with Sky Sports .

I think that they are streaming at the White Heart too. On the sky sports front, I was at the doghouse on Saturday watching the GFC game, and nobody was interested in the premier match apart from the odd cursory glance to see the score, but plenty were watching the GFC game. I think that this kind of grass roots football is much more entertaining to the supporters, real passion, real commitment, real talent. None (or very little) of this money grabbing, feigning injury and disloyalty.
