Does anyone know who else is in from our league?

A bit later than expected due to a busy evening but all FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round fixtures featuring Ryman Premier Clubs can be found at http://www.margate-fc.com/content/1st_team/leagueresults.php?comp=2&season_id=106 . That page also has all FA Cup matches so far featuring teams in out league.

Using the links on the page (or following these links) you can also see all FA Trophy games featuring Ryman Premier sides, all League Cup games featuring Ryman Premier sides and all Kent Senior Cup games.

Thats an awesome piece of work-really like.

Is it getting a bit silly that at non league level there is a virtual 'cup window' ?

seems daft to me,-and its across the board for most clubs at this level-that your season is virtually made or lost by a 3 week period in september /october.

In that 3 week period ,clubs like Margate could still be in four cup competitions-or exited from all 4 -just don't seem right to have glory/failure so condensed to me.

As i post-a general comment on non league football at step 2/3/4/5.

so what is the alternative ?

I would advocate that the league and KSC cups should be run in a calender year.

You play early rounds in January- March and then the semi finals and final in the same calender year in November/December=Christmas period cup final.

That evens out interest over the year and gets games played in the less attractive months-keeping attendances and knock on interest bubbling.

Yep-weather a bit suspect=but i believe October/november are consistently the wettest month of year (excepting 2011 ) and thus many games are lost/pitches ruined for the season by playing games then
