So far this season!!!!!!!!!

It is worrying that most (not all) of the sides at the top of Div 1 are unlikely to be able to go up.

1. Spelthorne = no

2. Eversley = maybe depending on lights etc

3. Westfield = think so

4. South Kilburn = no

5. Worcester Park = no

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on any of these.

Bomaya,

If the top three clubs at the end of the season are not in a position to go up, would that mean no promotion and no relegation?

Just asking for clarity's sake.

Not necessarily no relegation Adam - GFC need their correct grading or a new ground by 31st March to avoid automatic relegation. Plus of course Div 1 has plenty of space for teams should the FA move other Step 5 teams into the CCL.

Interesting point there then G.F.,so they would need to purchase the Track, not Groundshare there? If they do not get the correct grade for Footes Lane.

Too late for a ground share to either obtain promotion or avoid relegation, but a simple switch of grounds - provided the new ground has the correct grading - shouldn't be a problem. They could then allow the current team to ground share with them ;)

I am not sure I understand the difference. Is it because you would take on a lease/rental agreement (or whatever it is) from the company that owns the ground to avoid relegation as opposed to a groundshare agreement with a club to avoid relegation? Assuming I am right, I am sure there is a legal difference but I am struggling to see the practical difference from the FA's point of view. More sustainable long term perhaps?

Just to add my two penny's worth, I dont like ground shares, and dont think it should allow teams to progress up the pyramid.

I think clubs take the easy option as opposed to putting in the hard work and develop local areas like spelthorne, bedfont sports, bedfont, hanworth villa, ashford town, Eversley, Knaphill, Westfield etc. They all did the hard way, and for me correct way.

It is in my humblest opinion, that these teams that ground share will eventually fall away and go bust, just like Bedfont Green
