WESTFIELD ineligible player

They should throw the book at them and make an example £1000 fine and the club should then sack the secretary

I agree bob. I mean he gets handsomely rewarded for what he does and they, as every club do, have a long list of people wishing to take on a job that becomes harder each year.

LOL!

Little sly one there Bommie, directed at me?After spending 3 days outside Soho Square protesting, the Fine and ban was dropped by the F.A.Not my fault that Mr Burr and Mr Baxter of Merstham FC,DID NOT HAVE THE BOLLOCKS to inform the Ryman of the said decision, they would of surely got their point back, and their Fine Money. They the F.A. even changed a flawed rule over the matter,so that a Player no longer has to receive a letter,to be aware of the alledged debt owed.SAD MAN.

Don't be sad Peter, I wasn't directing it at you. I was pointing out one problem that clubs can have dealing with players in these issues.

I know Charlie and he has apologised for this already, he's a top boy and potentially a very good player, players do need to realise tho that monies owed need to be paid, it's not kids football it's men's.

That's not the advice given by Hants FA. We've tried to chase outstanding debts before and were advised it is only monies owed to the county FA that can result in a suspension.

If you have a link to the above (stating it's any debt owed) it would be apprecoated if yoy could post on here. Hants FA aren't the most reliable with their advice,so there is a good chance the info they provided to me was incorrect.

The Middlesex FA produce an E-Handbook, rather than a printed book. This link takes you to the chapter concerning the membership rules:

http://www.middlesex...2-finished.ashx

Rule 12 is at the bottom of page 8 and most of page 9. All County FAs will have a provision of this kind somewhere in their rules. Note that Rule 12 can only be applied to the football debts of adult players. However, the definition of "football debts" can be very wide.

Nice to see one county is up to date with modern technology ! Strange though as everyone is now told the rules are standardised across all counties yet Middx wording and rule numbers are definitely different to Berks & Bucks - oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day !
