WESTFIELD ineligible player

That's not the advice given by Hants FA. We've tried to chase outstanding debts before and were advised it is only monies owed to the county FA that can result in a suspension.

If you have a link to the above (stating it's any debt owed) it would be apprecoated if yoy could post on here. Hants FA aren't the most reliable with their advice,so there is a good chance the info they provided to me was incorrect.

Daniel every Club in the Country has Players who have knocked them, just go round their house, and ask them for what they owe you. Then if they dont pay take the FA Route.

That's the route we do take smudge. If players don't wish to pay their debts,it's not easy to force them (legally).

Bobuk - clubs lower down the pyramid often rely on player fees to survive. It only take a few not to pay and you quickly find the club is a few hundred pounds short of their income forecasts.

I know it's a bit late now,but the county fa websites show all banned players. The format is poor though and requires a search by each player individually and requires each players date of birth.

Might be worth confirming why he was banned as well. Players can only be put on suspension if they owe fines for red/yellow cards. Club debts (ie signing on/match fees/clubwear) are not valid reasons for players to be suspended. These debts are obviously extremely annoying from a club perspective though.

Wrong!!! You can search by club ACTUALLY!!

Agree Daniel, let 10 players go that owe £10...find yourself in £100 debt. Which to alot of clubs, is alot of money.

You have to know the club which suspended the player though. Not sure how helpful that is?

I believe the idea is for clubs to be able to search their own club and any registered players appear. However the county FAs will not commit to this information being 100% accurate. They state it is the clubs responsibility to still check each player individually (hence my statement above).

Daniel, I haven't got a link as I read it in my county handbook. As the rules are now standardised across the country it should also be in the Hants handbook in the section relating to 'Memorandum of procedures - disciplinary procedures concerning field offences' and you're looking at rule 19 ! One additional thing I've just noticed is that you can only ask the county to act if the debt is greater than £50 which might cover kits, tracksuits and training kits but not a lot else ! As you said earlier admin fees & fines for disciplinary offences are a different matter which the county will deal with whatever the amount.

Also the Player has a responsibility to pay the Debt owing,if he is aware. The only winner is the F.A.,player owes £10,club informs Fa of debt,Club he signs for plays him, they get fined £75.Do not understand the hatred between Clubs at this level.

Smudge, a club will not be fined for any individuals outstanding debts to another club. The individual can be fined or banned but the only punishment a club will receive would be for playing that player whilst suspended which is a breach of league rules.

That £1,000 fine could do severe damage to the finances of the club though.

If a mistake is made, and it's an honest one, then surely it's better to dock them the points and leave it there.

Where a club flout the rules or feign ignorance, then I would throw the book at them. I posted recently about a player threatening to get around a sine-die by using a pseudonym when playing for his new club. His old club and new club have said nothing (in fact the secretary at the old club doesn't even answer her emails/mobile when asked to by the County FA).

Agreed on the first bit.The Club will be fined for Playing a sine die player though sec,and lose points.Would of thought that with the Revenues the local FA'S make from these misdeameanours,it would not be in their Interests,to make it easy for a 1 stop site, that all Clubs can visit to find the facts needed.Which is a shame.

Indeed especially when some players play for Sunday sides and don't even tell their Senior club.

Little sly one there Bommie, directed at me?After spending 3 days outside Soho Square protesting, the Fine and ban was dropped by the F.A.Not my fault that Mr Burr and Mr Baxter of Merstham FC,DID NOT HAVE THE BOLLOCKS to inform the Ryman of the said decision, they would of surely got their point back, and their Fine Money. They the F.A. even changed a flawed rule over the matter,so that a Player no longer has to receive a letter,to be aware of the alledged debt owed.SAD MAN.
