marksandwell
Here's one for you, (and I don't know the answer) in the last 5 season, how many clubs in our League reached the FA CUP 1st round proper? and who where they?

Coffin Ender
I exist to spread enlightenment and joy. You'll notice none of those teams were promoted in the season they got to the First Round. Looks like cup and league success is a tough trick to pull off. michael
tend to agree with that CE. However-n alot of instances-does the prize money fund a succesful league campaign the following season-and thats what i hope for this season.#Get to first/second round-take the money -and fund apromotion season in 2013/14. Lets just through tomorrow first-one step at a time
michael
Trust we do justice to ourselves today, and will come out with theso vital win. Discipline important i feel-got a feeling this game may be a bit fiery-a lot at stake. Important for us to keep 11 men on the pitch-have a feeling a sending off is imminent today. Jeff Trice
Just had a look and discovered that Margate have never won an FA Cup tie in Essex. First time we played away at an Essex club was 21.11.70 when we lost 2-0 at Dagenham in the 1st Round Proper and since then there have been four more trips to the county in the FA Cup, all of which have been either 3rd or 4th Qualifying Round ties until today…. 3.11.79 lost 1-0 at Harlow in the 4QR 27.10.01 lost 2-0 at Grays in the 4QR 25.10.03 drew 3-3 at Grays in the 4QR 16.10.04 lost 3-1 at Braintree in the 3QR …we’re currently on a run of five away FA Cup ties unbeaten since the win at Binfield in September 2010 and the defeat at Grays in 2001 was the last time we failed to score in an away FA Cup tie. We’ve actually only failed to score in an away FA Cup tie twice in the last 30 games.
Boney Crisp
Billericay Town v Swansea City in 2007/08; Sutton United v Notts County in 2008/09; Wealdstone v Rotherham in 2009/10; Harrow Borough v Chesterfield in 2010/11; East Thurrock v Macclesfield 2011/12. you missed AFC Hornchurch v Peterborough in the 2008/2009 season and didn't Ramshite get the first round a few years ago only to get knocked out by Nuneaton? Coffin Ender
Hey, Mark, we beat a team coached by Pep Guardiola, no mean feat. On another day we might have had six or seven, this team really is full of goals.
