Don't know much about Colney, but Ampthill have a number of players with experience at this level and above - so not that surprising.

 

But they've got massive injury problems so their start to the season has been pretty impressive nonetheless.

At a guess maybe 3 or 4 players who've played this level before, over half a dozen though from the Padbury Division 2 side of the season before last.....so given that have done well.

But you're right on the injury front.....bit of a stinker

I'm sure some of those Padbury players dropped down to play there though didn't they?

It will be interesting to see how ampthill get on when they get some of there injured Players back , hope a few will be back soon .

I'm sure it will improve on an already excellent start.

With these players out it also gives the fringe players a chance to prove them selfs witch they have , last seasons fringe / reserve player Kyle Durcan has had a great start . 7 goals this season same as coulter .

Every cloud... He's done well to make that step up

Hardest thing I did was to try and make the step down to Div 2...

 

Reminds me of a quote from a Referees Secretary to a Referee who thought he was better than what he was.

 

 

Referee: "Why are you giving me Division 3 games?"

 

Ref Sec: "Because we haven't got a Division 4."

Yes they have got to be happy with the start they have made to life in the Premier Division a good solid club who im sure will finish in the top half of the league come the end of the season.
