Ormering is right I would say. It's naive to think GFC players wouldn't partake in a spot of gamesmanship to win a game when they have to.

I've seen a few of the GFC players do it whilst playing local football previously so they aren't quite the perfect angels GD makes them out to be.

Besides, anyone in their right mind would for example hack a player down when he was through 1 on 1 in the last minute of a cup final you were 1-0 up in. Anyone who says different is either a liar or stupid.

Adam your post does not comment on what I was saying you pilchard! I have no problem at all with Guernsey being in the CCL in fact I have advocated their involvement from the outset. They are a great side with great players and I have tipped them to continue their impressive progression. The Guernsey people I have met at various games have all been terrific and good sports.....all apart from the prat with the donkey round his neck, the guys a clown and even the Guernsey locals take exception to him and his comments. All I was saying is that Eversley got it right at Footes Labe last season and from all accounts were deserved winners, but the dopey donkey fella just can't seem to accept that the mighty GFC lost this game. Eversley are a good club with good players and a decent young manager - they should therefore receive the credit they deserve, but no we have the guernsey loon accusing them of cheating.

You and the Donkey Boy clearly don't have a brain cell between you. Helmets!

Hacking down a player in the last minute of a game when he was through wouldn't be cheating. The player would get sent off for a professional foul and a free kick/penalty would be awarded.

You are missing the point of the thread which is about gamesmanship and cheating.

You are clearing lacking any footballing knowledge Guernsey Local I'd gladly have a chat to you to teach you the laws and ethics of the game. Actually that would take sometime so maybe read some stuff online try a google search on GAMESMANSHIP or the rules of football, might help you out a bit ;-)

First google result for ganesmanship is a Wikipedia article from which this was taken: 'Another example is when tackling a player from behind to stop them from approaching the goal, thereby ruining their chances, while receiving inadequate punishment (a.k.a. cheating)'.

It is cheating, much the same that handball on the line is cheating or diving is cheating. all can be punished if caught but the punishment does not always match the crime.

And I'd love to have a chat to discuss ethics and rules and other such exciting topics however I'm really not sure I have a spare few weeks at the moment.

I can't believe you actually googled that PMSL !

You obviously do have lots of spare time !

Now just put down your copy of 50 Shades Of Grey and read the FIFA rulebook in stead ! ;-)
