I thought that Spandau Ballet might have got a mention in Rhodes' list...

I've always thought he was more a Duran Duran man really.

Or Fat Larry's Band.....

Strangely enough they're in my top ten, I saw them play in the 1980's and met the band

For someone who never ventures beyond zone 3 youve seen and met a lot of people Rhodes.....................

We're on the same page here Keeps. He'll be busy googling everything he can find on Fat Larry's Band so he can name an imaginary date and at the same time photoshopping himself presenting the band with some flowers he borrowed from a nearby grave....

I would have added Screaming Lord Such to the list, who believe it or not was a great live act. A crowd of us mods used to get on our Vespa or Lambrettas in the 60s, and go to the Wake Arms in Epping for a good night out.

I think the Wake Arms was pulled down about twenty years ago, and not sure what they built in its place. City Limits is in Collier Row, Romford and I believe its a bowling alley.

Thought you would be too young to be part of that era.

Wake aArms was pulled down and the roundabout opposite is called the Wake Arms! We've probably all crossed paths there albeit in different decades!

Anyone see Black Sabbath there or was I somewhere else?

If The Wake Arms was the pub on the roundabout it was still called that as late as 1985............deffo changed its name to City Limits ( dont know when) and was still there when i last went past

oh dear no mention of new music....theres some wonderful bands out there and the wonderful thing is no one legally buys their music so they stay raw and hungry when everyone steals music no chance of bands become bloated and performing in football stadiums, please check out Girls,Cloud Nothings, the animal collective and many others.
