We actually matched them last season, there were about 60 fans for each team, though the official crowd was given as 188. We took 200-250 to Faversham so three figures should be possible on Saturday. dflman
We took 4 last year, April time, incl 2 kids who have point blank refused to go anywhere near the place again ! Their description of the place was it was where incoming bombers using the Thames as a guide could see what awaited them in the distance in London so dropped their load and turned around for home and after the war a pitch was marked out on the crater
marksandwell
But i have to say it holds good memories, it was at this stadium that a certain Mr Kinnear meet with the board of directors, before his official re appointment to MFC.. Plus the fact we always do quite well at this ground.

geoff pay
I leant on the turnstile for support and it collapsed on me. They had no crash barriers. On the way out there were two old boys with fishing chairs watching the game threw a ruddy great hole in the fence!!
Tesco Bazza
Agree with the discriptions of the ground brings back memories of having to go to a hell hole on boxing days and easter a fe.w years back. But a happy hunting ground so let's hope it continues more money banked and that bit closer to the 1st rd proper

I am Spartacus
Lasting memories of Aveley 1) Capt. Cloke's goal last season 2) Lloyd Balckman's non goal a couple of seasons earlier 3) New manager being escorted in by the board 2 seasons ago. dflman
I was at that game and a person who contributes a lot to this site informed me that over there (pointing to the other side) was the new Margate manager - Mike Flanagan - I nodded sagely as had no idea what he looked like
AncientBlue
I could see over the fence before he entered the ground, and told Joseba it was Jimmy Ward
