OldTowner
Seen the twitter comments that we lost to a very good side. Okay, it was 2 - 0 and they are top of the League...but were they very good ? Looked good going forward but used the long ball a lot ( as have Lewes, Whitehawk and Hampton ) Er is this a Premier League thing ? Did they look good because Town were caught out far to many times giving the ball away time after time from midfield ? Did they look good because Town got "done" at left back time and again ? Did they look good because Town did not take their chances ( albeit few and far between ) ? For me ( and just my opinion ) we were as the Hampton game - weak in midfield and missing a finisher up front as Liam is far too deep. And as the Lewes game, we were left well short at left back. There needs to be an injection of at least 4 good players into the squad if we are to stop sliding down the table. Some squad players are not up to this level. Hope is, that the lower teams in the League, who we are still to see, will be more our level. All about opinions.
Tom S
Hope is, that the lower teams in the League, who we are still to see, will be more our level. We've lost to Whitehawk, Hampton and Margate all of whom I think will be there or thereabouts come April. Let's not panic until we've played a few of the mid table sides. Steph
It is true that we have lost to teams who are top of the table or thereabouts and it is clear that we are going to meet some weaker opponents. However winning is a habit and losing can also be habit forming. FWIW I think that we have to raise our ambition. I do not think we should be content with a mid table position as it means that when we meet better teams in the division we, perhaps sub consciously, go out expecting to be beaten. We have to have a positive attitude against all opponents.

We have put in some good performances and lost, and some shite performance (wingate) and won We need better, stronger, match winning players ok now shoot me down.
