SCR Colts, now the 2nd largest youth football club in the Borough of Sutton, are delighted to announce that after much hard work, they have been granted the Charter Standard by the FA.

Founded in 2010 with only three sides, and as the youth set up to Combined Counties team Mole Valley SCR, the club has gone from strength to strength.

The club moved from playing at Beddington Park, to a permanent base at Stanley Park, with clubhouse and tearoom on site, and increased their numbers in 2011 to 10 teams.

For the 2012/13 season the club will be running 17 sides, from U18 age down to U7's, which will allow in excess of 200 children to play football in a safe and welcoming environment.

The club has now also bought on board the experienced Guy Paul as Club Development Officer.

On hearing the application had been successful, Hargreaves said "This is hopefully the first of many accolades the club will earn. The award represents part of our ambition to create not only a safe & fun environment for any child of any ability but also to develop these players to the highest personal levels for the future game.

President Gary Brigden said "The efforts of Mark and the guys over the last couple of years have been nothing short of phenomenol, and this is just rewards for their time and effort. To have taken the club from 3 to 17 teams in just three seasons, to and be in a position now to give a the amount of children we can a safe football environment is fantastic".
