Friday night football at the Leg O'Mutton

Frustin he missed the headbutt though?! And how many times was simmo fouled; very biased view from. You...do you think. The better side won on the night?!

Unfotunately, i was being distracted at the time of the alleged headbutt, so didn't capture the incident. Didn't see much point in putting in just the pushing & shoving, particularly as there was no action taken.

The ref was poor for both teams. All night the MV players were having a go at the ref along with some large bloke with a beard wearing a MV polo shirt. Best not mention the club official (I'm told) who all night long stood there screaming at his players F this F that and also at the ref.

So the best they had was to get a Frimley player sent off to even it up!!

Previous comment "had BH gone the game would of changed!!"

So what happened when the player attempted to head butt Mepham. Linesman saw it and he should of walked and Mepham should of got a yellow. Ref did nothing. As a neutral thats how i saw it, but no one at MV did and all they can say today is BH should of walked and we may of stood a chance.

You should be spending your time looking at why Frimley were able to score (not a deflection as you see the player put his foot out to guide the ball) and why didn't you score against a team that has let in 3 goals in 7 games!! Looking at these issues is good management not bleeting about who should of been sent off and how poor the ref was.

Chuck, thanks for your take on what we should be doing as management, but you know what... I think we know our weaknesses and our strengths!

We didn't attempt to get a player sent off, dissent and a stone wall booking with a challenge from behind ought to have ensured he done that for himself! Nobody knows what difference that would have made but sure as eggs are eggs it would have to effected the game to some ends.

Agreed that the ref made some decisions both ways that noone could understand, least of all a caution for our lad having had the ball struck against him whilst retreating after the keeper had possession as well as not dealing with the BH second caution, in fact I think once you were cautioned you were pretty safe that you wouldn't receive a 2nd leading to dismissal, but that is my opinion and the match ref could only reasonably say what he was of wasn't prepared to accept!?

Interesting the comments on the alleged head butt, not picked up by the video footage which as usual was superb, not seen by match ref, according to you seen by assistant, by no action taken?! So with all that and the incident being on far side, in the corner away from dugouts is it surprising no SCR manager witnessed it?

Think like most, first we saw was the fall out with lots of both teams players pushing and shoving!

IF it happened and he was dismissed or it was caught on camera the player would have been very heavily dealt with as that is not what we are about!

Anyway, hopefully my management team & I will take on board your excellent free advice and we'll try and and implement good management practices in future...
