Smudge

Recommended Posts

Les Rocquettes are not being used early season this year as they are too busy with other bookings to take team groups yet. I knew SML was being used. So many hotels in the island will NOT take sports team bookings because of previous problems with drunkeness and damage, it can't be easy to arrange all this accomodation!

Smudge, you are 100% sure of this?

If not, you could find yourself in hot water.

I heard a few rumours on Wednesday night at Leatherhead, some connected with the CCL - Worcester Park are looking at ground-sharing at Raynes Park Vale or Banstead next season if they cannot get lights being one of them.

Leatherhead also interested in signing up some of the Football Finder boys too.

I've heard that South Kilburn are looking to ground share at Guernsey as they are flying high.

If you travel to Guernsey on a saturday you leave home at about 5.30 or 6.00 am for a 3pm kick off. There is a later flight that will get you there in time. Why don't you ask for that?

Most players see it as a jolly for a weekend drink up. Which may play to their advantage as they are the home team, but i'm assured that the local women are very accommodating!!

Great people, great place but not a patch on AFC Wimbledon as they are mainland based.

Sooner we stop talking about them and they go away the better. They have prooven nothing other than if they have talent they should leave Guernsey.

Can't wait to see all you sad idiots reply!!!!!!!!!

Just remember that libel laws apply to internet postings smudge. You'd better be 100% sure of what you are posting! I've seen what can happen and I know people who are in court for saying a lot less on Facebook.

Maisie is quite right.

Anything you post in the public domain of the internet and label fact, when it can be proven that it definitely isn't, can land you in trouble.

If you say 'it's my opinion' or 'it's what I'm lead to believe' then that's fine.

Dorking Wanderers could tell you so, as there's currently some moron spreading lies about them.

No need to shout... If you think the laws of libel do not apply to you, that's up to you. I've said what I had to say.

Would I stay there?? Yes, if I was not paying and I was in a group being given hospitality by a host team. If I was on a holiday I'd probably not stay there because I'd rather stay in other local places.

Ban lager on the island. You have the power.

Our barman would love to gid rid of the lager pumps and only sell proper beer at our place but sadly too many people are fashion victims and drink what they're told whether that's lager or cider.

I remember when cider was a drink for goths and weirdos (I was a mixture of both), now everyone's at it but for some reason they put ice in it. Why would they do that? Oh yeah, I forgot, the adverts on tele told them to.

I thought the American Navy Seals had got rid of him ??

Oooops - Sorry - That was Bin Laden !

Why would you rather stay in other local places Maisie?

Because I imagine (like anywhere in the world) She would prefer to stay somewhere that is 4 star than somewhere that is 2 star.

Much like you would rather drink some form of 'normal' beer/soft drink as opposed to tescos own brand extra value version.

It's hardly rocket science!

You might have to only be in there for 6hours Miasie Cat Having stayed there with Egham is it to much to ask for a clean room instead of a pig sty that was so dirty it was unbelivable The Bathroom was a joke the food even worse. When Guernsey joined the league i would of voted against it if they had told us that was where we would be put up As for Croydon not paying for the food Can you find out why Feltham paid £8 a head and we were charged nearly £12 a head for the same meal. Think we need a new vote at end of season to see what teams would like to play Guernsey next Season what does everyone else think?

The location would not be my choice.

Unclean rooms are not acceptable in any hotel. I am sure this will be being taken up? The club would not be deliberately putting anyone into facilities they knew were sub standard.

If they get promoted, then this will be a case for the Ryman/Southern. They won't have to answer to the Combined Counties once they are in Step 4.
