Could we set up a card system for suspensions on this site to be managed by yourself ?????

IE.... 3 yellows equals a 1 week ban... ( personal attacks )

Straight red card equals a 3 week ban ( Over the top personal attacks )

 

Also if a user gets more than 10 yellows or 3 reds then a months ban......

 

Open to suggestions, just an idea so what do you think...

What would constitute a personal attack? When the majority of posters on here do not know one another.Should we all use our real names,and only comment nicely about Football related matters.I LOVE HAMPTON,I LOVE GUERNSEY,I LOVE WESTFIELD,I LOVE ASH,I LOVE HANWORTH,I LOVE CHERTSEY,I USED TO LOVE WHO CITY,or should i delete the last one,as it could be classed as a personal attack.

How about if Ian runs this,instead of Bans,a financial Penalty is given.Like a £5 GOLD MEMBERSHIP FEE has to be purchased before a poster can repost.If the Member is a GOLD MEMBER already,he has to purchase another GOLD MEMBERSHIP to post again.That should stop all personal comments stone dead.Ian you could be going to live in sunny Barbados in a Month.

Good idea mate but I think it would need a full time moderator to be able to do this.

The software that runs this site does have a warning system, its just not enabled/used. :)

Smudge.... A personal attack can be also directed at your nickname or an assumed name.....It has no relevance if you know the person or not.

Agreed ! I don't take anything that's said to me seriously. I don't lose sleep over anything that's said against me on here !

 

Me and Smudge do have the odd dig at each other here and there but I only see it as banter. When we have met we have chatted in a civil way ! Shock horror !

 

As HKP has said there is a warning thingy by our username but I've never seen anyone with a warning !

 

Maybe we should all use this as a new begining and tone things down a bit

 

I call a truce Smudge. Will you accept ?

Only yesterday you were claiming there's only so much you can take GD - if you don't take things seriously there is no limit ;)
