BBC Sports personality of the year 2012 - who would you pick?

Recommended Posts

Havering ceased being part of Essex in 1965. We have no political representation in Essex, and all appropriate taxes are payed to the GLC, and not the Essex County Council.

Why you give your hard earned dosh to some fake Welsh rap group I'll never know... ;)

I don't think you quite understand the situation with regard to how Murray and his Scottish Nationalist supporters view things cup of tea.

When Murray won the US Open Sean Connery was interviewed on the success and growled "...and stop calling him British, he's Scottissssshhhhh"

If Murray wants to represent Team GB in the Olympics (which he did) and would like to receive the coveted British Sports Personality of the Year Award, then perhaps it's time he made up his mind?

I do understand where you're coming from, and agree to a certain extent. If he's Scottish rather than British then yes, you're correct.

I'm sure he's said things in the past he probably now regrets as a lot of people have when they're younger.

I'm also sure he's called himself a Brit as well (I said while furiously trying to Google the answer!)

As for Connery, I wouldn't take anything he says seriously.

Hornchurch is in Essex,is also in London.Stupid I know but it's factual,at least according to the postal system

It must be a useful quality for a taxi driver like yourself to be able to be in two places at the same time.

With regards to the postal system, Royal Mails sorting machines recognize the post code only, and the county people write on the envelope is a total irrelevance.

I wonder if the BBC will extend the programme this year to between three and four hours as there will be so much to cram in won't there, they could start at 7.00 and end at 10.30 or 11.00.

  • 4 weeks later...

I see that Bradley Wiggins odds to win are 8/11 which I find surprising, you can get a massive 7/2 on Andy Murray, an even more generous 5/1 on Mo Farah and 10/1 on Jessica Ennis which is worth an each way punt.

I assume that the BBC will be narrowing it down and will have a short list of about a dozen candidates at which time voting will start
