Redders the Knaphill website says you were 'released' which implies that they let you go rather than you ask to leave - is that right??

 

Chubby arranging to be "released" gets you around the 7 day approach rules.

Exactly GF, it was so I could get signed for Lammas as quickly as possible and they didn't need to put a 7 dayer in.

Thanks GF. So is being 'released' against league rules....surely the 'correct' way is a 7-day approach and a transfer fee? Or does it depend on both clubs agreeing to the release. All seems a bit strange to me.

Yes mate, he plays CM for us. Still looks really unfit. Loves a long ball don't he!!!! Jesus shorten it up kid!!!!

He always looks like that! Still a very good player. He wasnt happy about sitting on the bench for one game for us so left. Will do well for you guys as he has an excellent delivery and one hell of a long ball pass. Just need someone next to him that will do most of the donkey work!!

Either way works - the current Club hold the whip hand - they don't have to agree to release but generally do when they don't want to stand in a players way (after all, knowing Redders he'll be back there sometime once he's fallen out with Lammas management again ) There will be a registration (admin) fee payable rather than a transfer (admin) fee. Few quid difference normally but I doubt the League will mind.
