JohnM-Redrock
David Conn has long been one of the very best reporters and writes superb articles (and books) about the game of football. As for Orgreave and the 84/85 Miners dispute, it has long been my belief that the support the Thatcher government got from the SYP meant that when things went wrong on 15 April 1989 the then Prime Minister still grateful for the assistance provided to her by the SYP in defeating the NUM meant that she did all she can to support her favoured police force. Did this include an official cover up? Maybe the release of the official papers on Wednesday will confirm this belief.......
