Smudge
Went to watch Croydon v Colliers Wood yesterday where Croydon ran out easy 5-1 Winners, which could of been 12-1 in reality. There was a young Referee in charge of the game, who had a great first half, which I related to the Assessor,at the H/T break.Low and behold at 3-1 to Croydon a Colliers Wood player went down injured, all the players stopped playing bar 2,a Croydon Player tried to kick the ball out of play, but alas his touch was not the greatest, and a second Croydon player latched onto this, rounded the Stationary Colliers keeper, and walked the ball into an empty net.Rightly because the Referee had not blown his whistle the Goal stood. The call from the stands to a man was for the Croydon Players to stand aside, and let the Colliers player score. The shout from the Croydon Bench alas was get the ball back, which I and others found in poor taste. As they say in life what goes around comes around.
