Margate sign two

i really really really like this:

always thought both maybe a bit unlucky not to be included originally (funding i guess )

Maybe TCL not the dominant central midfielder that would have been ideal-but at least he plays in central midfield-and looked pretty good in the two half games i saw him.

Over used word-but he really does have 'potential ' imo,and great to see someone taken from the lower leagues who one thinks will be hungry to progress-just have a feeling that he will really progress and be a great success.-much better choice than the usual 'journeyman' semi-pro's imo.

possibly a striker as well ?

More than happy with the squad now (albeit i wonder who else will leave as squad 'settles down' ).

just hope we don't blow it all tomorrow.

Is corneille fit i wonder -he was been doing excellent in central midfield.

now that would be very very good-albeit that i suspect he is not CK's type of player-and maybe has'nt got the dedication required ?

Your description of him as a 'wild' striker is probably quite accutate !

Re-reading the small print in the 'statement' on official site it does say forward-not striker-so is it a striker-or one of these ten a penny fluffy wide/midfieldy lightweight types with supposed pace who get to the bye-line and then can't do anything with the ball ?

Well this sounds like Aaron Quain again x 4 - hasn't he just been released by that third world town of Ramsgate - hence the international clearance...........

one has to think that the step up from being substitute for Goff's Oak reserves earlier this year (not that i'm massively familiar with the standard at Goff's Oak reserves) to the Ryman Premiership could be quite a challenge for TCL,but i have a gut feel that this guy will do well-and by january-cement a regular first team slot

Lets hope whoever he is, he comes and fills his bags with goals.

Glad to see "Tyler Law" here as thought he is one who given time could develope. Do with him at Hartsdown today getting minutes on the pitch.

"Femi" did nothing wrong for me preseason, was solid.

  • 3 weeks later...
  • 2 weeks later...

As it is now over 4 weeks since the initial announcement-is it a reasonable assumption to assume the 'third signing' of a striker that was awaiting international clearance is not now going to happen?

Maybe not a bad thing as did we really need another wide/righty/ strier/wide midfield player type anyway, when for me-the crying need was and still is full a strong central midfield player.

after our cup exits and thus lack of funds-i guess that won't be happening either.

never mind-top half was always good enough for me this season-just a pity about the cup exits.
